This page is dedicated to all the artsy things I do and my chickens. But mostly wire wrapping and ch This has been an endeavor of false starts and stalls.
It started in 2014 when on a whim I bought wire wrapping materials and a tool kit. I had done wire wrapping before but not with the real intention to learn just for kicks. I liked the idea but not the practice, then in my late 20s I was in Ben Franklin's and I got the itch. Looking at all that shiny wire and sparkly beads sparked something. I figured with the internet is should be easy to learn, and if I admit to myself I'm simply better at learning now than I was when I first tried. So I bought the stuff and promised myself that I would only spend as much on wrapping as I was making from it, or it would come from my allowance. Yes I give my self a spending stipend from my day job. Anyway with the help of some friends, and loving extended family I quickly built up a stock of materials. I haven't made any money, its all gone back into wrapping. But I feel like its simply been a slow build to something more. And that brings us to now, I have store fronts at etsy, redbubble, facebook and storenvy.
My dad and MIL are awesome. Dad purchased me some sterling silver wire so I can wire wrap again, I have brass but no silver. And mom (MIL) sent me 50, both for my birthday. So I ordered some beads! A mix of glass and gemstone. I'm super excited about getting a hold of some rainbow obsidian and silver sheen obsidian.
They had some decent synthetic opal too. π I'm super excited.

I love taking a raw stone and displaying it's natural beauty. Smoky quartz point wrapped in brass. Accompanied by hematite, blue aventurine, gold shine obsidian, and faceted smoky quartz. With brass spacers.

Finally got tired of my flock knocking over the container. I was keeping my necklaces in. Really it was a display board just kind of leaned up against the wall so I'm not surprised they were knocking it over. But I finally felt the need to fix it. Please ignore the hats. I have nowhere else to put them π€£
Please note these are all available for sale. Priced between 15 and 50 depending on materials and the complicated nature of the piece as a whole.

This took way longer than I would like to admit. The supplies I chose were super limited in number. There was lots of restringing.
Imitation morganite, fresh water pearls, pink opal, and stainless steel. The center piece is a peach fresh water pearl with blue and yellow under tones wrapped in sterling silver.

Just could not wait.

For some reason this wasn't coming together the way I had though it would. I think I figured out the missing piece.
This is a personal one, I've had that little silver dragon since I was 14. We've been through a lot.

Finished this girl last night. The pedigree of her center stone is questionable, it was salvaged from an old ring. Could be amethyst could be glass π€·. She's pretty either way. The garnet in the center swirl is legit as are the beads, which are garnet, tourmaline and glass.

Power is back. And I'm still working on that necklace. I might have to abandon the original color palette and try something else. Maybe go for more dainty, then I could go with a better color combo. π€ IDK, we shall see.
My weird little corner for tax. This was during the outage and that's why it's so dark. π

I usually have the pattern worked out in my head and the center is the part I leave for later. Or I have an over all idea of the components I want to use, then I go through yes this and no not that π
not having a bead board makes organizing ummm different π
this is somewhere left field.
I have a solid idea about the center but there's lots of fuzzy spots. Unstring and try something else... Which honestly is the fun part π

For those of you that are new, hello, and for those that have been here a minute. Welcome!
As some of you know I live in Hawaii, on the big island π. We just endured hurricane Lala, everything is okay for my household. We lost power yesterday, so today has been filled with ways of occupying myself. π
So this picture is going to be crap cuz I'm using a lantern π
