Today one of my clients walked in carrying a homemade lemon berry cake she made completely from scratch for my birthday. 🥹💛

And yes… before the appointment was over, I had already demolished it. No shame. 😂

I’ve been doing her hair since I graduated beauty school. She trusted me when I was brand new, and from that very first appointment we just clicked. Over the years she’s become so much more than a client. She’s become a friend.

There are days when I wonder if I made the right decision coming back behind the chair. Running a business can be exhausting, and sometimes the weight of it all makes you question yourself.

Then days like today happen.

A homemade cake. Years of loyalty. A friendship that started with a hair appointment.

And I’m reminded that what I’ve built was never just about hair.

It’s about the relationships. The trust. The conversations through every season of life. The people who have sat in my chair year after year and somehow become part of my story.
