We are a small goat farm with a simple desire: to enlighten others on more natural approaches

We're big animal lovers, and protecting the environment is one of the main reasons we aspire for sustainability. Our well-pampered goats enjoy regular grooming, love and affection, and an all-natural diet out in the pasture. We go to extreme lengths to provide them with a healthy supply of green, and keep chemicals out of their diet, including hand-picking leaves for them through the winter (if it's warm enough for leaves to be around, of course). We even harvest our own hay every year, because we've found our goats simply prefer, and do better on home-grown hay. We believe in working with nature, not against it, and use natural de-wormers like garlic to keep our goats healthy.

Goats never get old. Number One, was born in 2012 when the Mayan calendar ended and reset to zero. She is fourteen years old and beautiful as ever. Here she is, away from the herd, quietly lying down by the pond, chewing her cud. The scene reminds me of days gone by when life was simple. No matter how cities and their upper echelons push for more technology, rural areas quietly remind us where our food comes from and must be protected at all costs.

Moisturizing

Goat milk soap contains fatty acids-caproic, caprylic, &capric acids are three of the most common found in goat milk. They help hydrate and moisturize the skin, leaving it soft and nourished. It's a good option for dry skin.. https://www.etsy.com/shop/CarlyleFarm?

Our Goat Milk Lard Soap (Real Soap) is derived from a fat and an alkali of sodium hydroxide, connected to one glycerin from fat made of triglycerides. The fatty acid reacts with sodium hydroxide, creating a soap with glycerin; this process is referred to as the saponification method.

Commercial surfactant soaps and detergents should not be labelled as soaps, as they do not contain a full fatty acid, as they solely use a hydrocarbon, and may not even use an alkali. This makes their product synthetic. It does not fit the true definition of what a soap consists of, as its properties are synthetic, which makes it a detergent. Our Goat Milk Lard Soap (Real soap) not only removes dirt but also kills bacteria due to its alkali, which makes it intolerable to microbial growth and works as a disinfectant, while commercial soaps and detergents can only physically remove dirt.

Our Goat Milk Lard Soap is very similar to the cellular makeup and pH of our skin, making it gentle and readily absorbed, locking in moisture. Lard promotes collagen production, resulting in improved elasticity. It also evens out skin tone, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and firms and tones skin...

Animal fats have been used for generations to make soap. Early soaps were difficult to obtain due to the scarcity of vegetable-based oils, which were not readily available, and they were too expensive for the average family to afford. However, lard fats from pigs were used by mixing wood ash or lye with rainwater and allowing it to cook and cool; a person could then create their own usable soap for washing and hygiene purposes. Lard fat is highest in Vitamin D3, which delivers a myriad of health benefits, including supporting healthy skin and hair. https://www.etsy.com/listing/230717861/lard-organic-goat-milk-soap? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byxFUKxhT3s&list=RDbyxFUKxhT3s&start_radio=1

Pigs and humans share very similar skin characteristics in terms of general structure, thickness, and hair follicle content. Soap made from lard can benefit the human skin, as it is similar in terms of structure, thickness, and hair follicle content, and is mild, moisturizing, and conditions very well. Lard soap may reduce fine lines and wrinkles, tone and firm skin’s texture, and minimize redness associated with rosacea and eczema. It is excellent for dry skin in the winter season. Lard soap does not clog pores....

Lard Soap
One reason our soaps are in small batches is that we use the cold process method. The bars are cured for up to 8 weeks.

Lard can have many benefits for the skin, including:
Vitamin D: Lard is rich in vitamin D, which can help reduce dark spots, lines, and acne. Lard from pastured pigs exposed to sunlight is particularly rich in vitamin D.

Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A, and vitamin E: Lard is rich in these vitamins, which can help give skin a healthy glow.

Similar pH to human skin: Lard has a similar pH to human skin, making it gentle and easy to absorb.

Promotes collagen production: Lard can help promote collagen production, thereby improving skin elasticity.

Reduces inflammation: Lard can help reduce inflammation, a common factor in conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Low on the comedogenic scale: Lard is low on the comedogenic scale, meaning it will not clog pores.

Used in many forms: Lard can be used in many forms, including lotions, creams, lip balms, and cleansers.
