We all are carrying vulnerabilities that make us more reactive when emotional events occur. There are two types of vulnerability factors to be aware of: 1. Poor self care and 2. Recent stressful events. Taking note of our vulnerabilities and working to reduce the ones we can is an important way to help us with emotion regulation ❤️🩹

A gentle reminder:
Wellness is not a destination.
It’s the way you care for yourself in small, steady ways.
Let these practices guide you back to center. 🤍
Regulation is a practice of capacity.
It’s not about control, it’s about relationship.
With your emotions.
With your body.
With yourself. 🌿

When we’re overwhelmed, it’s common to fixate on what we can’t change.
A helpful practice is to pause and ask:
What is actually within my control right now?
That shift alone can regulate more than you think. 🤍

Regulation can begin with something simple.
Light. Sound. Breath. Presence.
Sound bowl meditation can gently bring the nervous system back to center. 🌿
Many men were taught that asking for help is a sign of weakness.
Over time, that belief can make it harder to reach out, even when something feels heavy.
This Father’s Day, we honor the fathers and father figures, learning that strength doesn’t require silence.
It can also look like honesty, reflection, and connection. 🤍

Wellness is a process.
Not rushed. Not perfect. Just practiced.
And it begins right where you are. 🌿

Radical acceptance is a DBT skill we teach.
It doesn’t mean approving of what’s happening. It means acknowledging reality as it is, without adding resistance.
When we stop fighting what’s already true, we create more room to respond intentionally.
Save this to revisit when something feels hard to accept. 🤍

It’s not always easy to say, “I need support.”
For many people, that feels unfamiliar, or even uncomfortable. If that’s you, you’re not alone.
