Happy Friday FB!
Sometimes pampering yourself has absolutely nothing to do with soap, body butter, candles or a long bath.

Sometimes it simply means slowing down.

I’ve been pretty fatigued lately and moving a lot slower than I like. And if you know me, you know moving slow is not exactly my thing. But right now, I’m learning to listen to my body and be okay with moving at a different pace.

I also haven’t been able to get outside as much to do something else I love—taking pictures of sunrises, sunsets, clouds, trees and pretty much anything in nature that catches my eye.

Yes, I think I’m a photographer too. I actually took photography classes, but by the time I get my actual camera set up and take the perfect picture, the sun has set, the grass has grown and the birds have flown away. So the camera phone usually wins. LOL!

Anyway, I digress.

A dear friend was traveling and I asked her to take some pictures for me. She sent me several beautiful ones, but this one caught my eye.

Look closely. Do you see the rainbow? 🌈

It looks like a little arch coming through between the clouds and the land.

My first thought was, “Maybe that’s a hidden pathway for the angels to come down and play.”

Hey, it could be!

But it also made me smile because when I couldn’t get outside to enjoy one of the things I love, a friend thought enough of me to bring a little bit of the outdoors to me.

And sometimes, that’s enough.

So if today is a slower day for you too, let it be a slower day. Take care of yourself, find something that makes you smile and enjoy the little things when they show up.

As for me, I still say that’s an angel pathway.

Do you see it?

Just a little check-in from the woman behind Pampered Sisters. ❤️

I'm still here.

Treatment #3 slowed me down a little more than I expected, so I had to give myself some time to rest and deal with it. And yes, the video log will follow.

While I was resting, something funny happened. An old jingle from my Saturday morning cartoon days popped into my head:

“Life. Be in it.”

I haven't thought about that jingle in years, but I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Because being in your life really is a choice.

Right now, I have cancer.

But cancer is NOT my life.

I'm still Chris. I'm still the woman behind Pampered Sisters. Still making soap. Still creating. Still dreaming up new ideas. Still writing. Still laughing. Still planning. And still believing that taking care of yourself isn't something you earn after you've taken care of everybody and everything else.

Sometimes self-care looks like a beautiful bath, a good body butter, lighting your favorite candle and shutting the world out for a minute.

And sometimes it looks like saying, “I'm tired. I need to sit down.”

Treatment #3 reminded me of that one.

Pampering yourself isn't always about the pretty stuff. Sometimes it's simply giving yourself permission to listen to your body without feeling guilty about it.

That's part of being in your life too.

So Pampered Sisters may move a little slower some days, but we're still here.

I'm still here.

Still creating. Still dreaming. Still pampering. And most importantly...

Still IN my life. ❤️

Self-care isn't always a spa day. Sometimes it's simply celebrating yourself.

I arrived early for a doctor's appointment with a little extra time on my hands. Instead of rushing through the moment, I paused... smiled... and took a few selfies.

Why?

Because taking care of yourself also means recognizing the woman looking back at you.

Not because everything is perfect.
Not because life is easy.
But because you're still showing up.

Confidence doesn't always come from a full head of hair or a perfect outfit.

Sometimes confidence is simply saying...

"Here I am... and I'm grateful."

Today, I chose joy.

I hope you choose a little joy for yourself today too.

Happy Monday FB!

This morning, I looked to my left and saw the moon still hanging in the sky.

Then I looked to my right and watched the morning sun peek through the trees.

For just a few moments, they shared the same sky.

It reminded me that life doesn't always ask us to rush from one moment to the next. Sometimes the most beautiful moments happen when we simply pause long enough to notice them.

Self-care isn't always a spa day or a warm bath. Sometimes it's taking a deep breath, looking up, and appreciating the beauty God places right in front of us.

Those quiet moments have a way of refreshing our minds, calming our hearts, and reminding us that every day is a gift.

Today, I hope you find a few moments to pause, breathe, and intentionally pamper yourself.

Chris

Happy Monday from Pampered Sisters! 💕

The sun smiled on me... but let's be real, it was ALL about the earrings. 😊

I put this outfit together around these earrings! Yep... sometimes it's just that simple.

After church yesterday, our Women's Sunday School class enjoyed a fellowship breakfast. Before leaving, I noticed this peaceful little spot by the water and thought, "This would make the perfect place for a picture." So one of the ladies was kind enough to take a few for me.

As I sat there, I realized something.

This season has reminded me that every day doesn't have to be filled with accomplishments to have value. Sometimes self-care is simply slowing down, enjoying God's creation, taking a deep breath, and being thankful for another day.

At Pampered Sisters, I've always believed that taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's necessary. Whether it's a relaxing bath, lighting your favorite candle, or wearing the earrings that make you smile... those little moments matter.

So today, I'm encouraging you to do something just for you.

Wear the earrings. Light the candle. Use the pretty soap. Save nothing for "someday."

You deserve to enjoy today.

P.S. Since losing my hair, I've discovered a new appreciation for BIG, BOLD earrings! 😄 If you happen to see a fabulous pair while you're out shopping, send me a picture. You just might become my personal earring scout!

Have a beautifully blessed Monday! 💜

Day 67 | My War Bag, Chemo Warriors & Lessons I Never Expected to Learn 07/24/2026

Sometimes healing looks like a simple glass of ice water.

For the past 67 days, my life has looked a little different.

I'm learning that healing isn't always found in big moments. Sometimes it's found in the small things...rest, hydration, listening to your body, and giving yourself grace.

Before my second chemotherapy treatment, I spent time doing what brings me peace—making soap, creating products, and working on my upcoming Second Wind Life Journal.

My happy place has always been creating.

Creating reminds me that even in difficult seasons, beautiful things can still be made.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support Pampered Sisters during this season. Every order, every message, every prayer, and every word of encouragement has meant more than you'll ever know.

Life may slow us down...

But it doesn't have to stop us.

Here's to living intentionally, embracing every season, and finding joy in the journey.

Always...

Live Intentionally Pampered.

Day 67 | My War Bag, Chemo Warriors & Lessons I Never Expected to Learn Hello Everyone!Welcome back to my journey.Today is Day 67, and ...

Before the emails...
Before the orders...
Before the to-do list...

I stepped outside this morning.

The birds were singing, Mr. Rooster was making sure everyone was awake, and the morning sun was quietly making its way through the clouds.

I tried to capture the birds in a picture, but instead I captured the light.

It reminded me that God's creation keeps moving exactly as He intended.

Sometimes we spend so much energy chasing tomorrow that we forget to enjoy today.

This season has reminded me that self-care isn't always a spa day or a bath.

Sometimes self-care is simply stepping outside...
Taking a deep breath...
Looking up...
And thanking God for another day.

At Pampered Sisters, we've always believed that intentional moments matter.

This week, I hope you find a few quiet moments to simply be.

Have a wonderful week...

Live Intentionally. 💜

👍 A Little Health Update from Chris

I've been a little quieter than usual this past week, and I wanted to check in.

I just completed my second chemotherapy treatment, and this time I made a promise to myself that I would actually follow my doctor's instructions.

That meant resting when I was tired, resting when I was sore, drinking plenty of water, and allowing my body the time it needed to heal.

As business owners, we're used to pushing through everything. This week reminded me that sometimes the strongest thing we can do is simply slow down.

The work will still be there tomorrow.

Orders, emails, and projects can wait.

My health can't.

Thank you for your patience, your continued support of Pampered Sisters, and for every prayer and encouraging message you've sent my way.

I also filmed a vlog during this past week that I'll be sharing soon. I hope it encourages someone else who may be walking through a difficult season.

Until then...

👍 Still here.

👍 Still grateful.

👍 Still intentionally moving forward.

With love,
Chris

Happy Tuesday FB!
Self-care isn't always about a spa day or a bubble bath. Sometimes it's simply taking a moment to laugh.

Have you ever had one of those random memories pop into your head that makes you burst out laughing?

You know the one... it sounded like a great idea at the time, quickly became a terrible idea, and years later it still has you laughing until you cry.

Those moments remind us not to take life so seriously. They remind us to smile, laugh at ourselves, and appreciate the journey that got us here.

Today, I hope you find something that makes you laugh from the bottom of your heart.

If you have one of those unforgettable memories, leave "Laughing Right Now" in the comments. No explanation needed. Some stories are just too funny to tell. 😂💜

Wishing you laughter, joy, and a little intentional pampering today.

One of the greatest blessings during difficult seasons is being surrounded by people who lead with kindness.

My sweet friends Chef Nettie and sister, Jay Pleasant, the owner of Gorgeous Blooms at https://www.instagram.com/gorgeousblooms/ , surprised me with this beautiful custom bouquet called "Faith." Every flower, Scripture, ribbon, and keepsake was intentionally chosen to encourage me during my cancer journey.

As someone who spends my days creating handcrafted products that I hope make others feel loved and cared for, this bouquet reminded me that true craftsmanship isn't just about making something beautiful—it's about creating something that speaks to someone's heart.

Thank you to everyone who has continued praying, checking on me, sending messages, and encouraging me along the way. Your kindness has meant more than you know.

I'm grateful for every prayer, every order, every encouraging word, and every person walking beside me through this season.

With love,
Chris
