POV: you try UV adhesive for the first time and immediately notice the difference. Your nose doesn’t burn🤣
We know all lash liquids aren’t created equal🙅🏻♀️ UV or traditional
Sensitive artists and clients are the first to notice low quality ingredients or the fumes from cyanoacrylate
I am not a sensitive girly, I could snort lines of traditional adhesive and still be fine. Ok maybe not🤭
But I have sensitive clients, and I want to lash for a long time, so limiting my cyanoacrylate content in my adhesive, and using high quality liquids is important to me
Okay but WHY doesn’t her nose burn with UV adhesive but it did with traditional?
The burning sensation or strong smell associated with traditional adhesive is typically caused by cyano fumes.
With UV systems, a few things reduce exposure:
- Liquids are formulated with wayyyyy less cyanoacrylate- resulting in fewer fumes
- Liquids spend less time in a reactive state since they’re cured instantly
This is why some clients who have sensitivities with traditional adhesives can get UV lashes and have no reaction!!

I’ll be their Houston instructor , teaching their into to Opal masterclass with a side of ~my flare~
The curriculum is truly impressive. The best I’ve seen and I’ve taken sooo many lash courses these last 7 years
I’ll be teaching a beginner class AND I’m advanced class for artists!
We’re gonna get reallll nerdy in this science based class, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of lash chemistry, what makes a UV light safe, and how to give your clients the safest, longest-lasting lashes ever.
