✨ Volunteer Spotlight: A Gift of Dignity ✨
While working as an apprentice at Bryant Company Limited, @ 416 9th Street here in Huntington, Chris Adkins has started to commit his time each Wednesday to provide free haircuts to our neighbors — men, women, and children — at absolutely no cost.
To those experiencing homelessness, something as simple as a haircut can feel like a luxury that has to be put aside for the moment. But a fresh haircut does so much more than change appearances.
It restores confidence, boosts self-esteem, self-worth, and helps someone walk into a job interview feeling prepared and proud.
Chris is giving more than haircuts — he gives hope, encouragement, and a tangible expression of compassion. His selfless service is a beautiful example of using one’s God-given gifts to love others well.
We are grateful for Chris and his heart to serve. 💚
And we’re reminded that ministry doesn’t always look like big gestures — sometimes it looks like showing up consistently and offering what you already have.

School’s already started, but I know some families still haven’t had the chance to get their kids a fresh cut. This Tuesday, Aug 19th, I’m giving FREE haircuts for kids under 12.
