The hair cut is only 25% of a good outcome.

I've lost count of the occasions when I've visited a salon, where they've lavishly washed, cut, and styled my hair, leaving me with a stunning look. However, the sad reality is that replicating that same style at home feels like an insurmountable task.

I've often found myself longing for proper guidance on how to style my hair, especially during my younger years. But now that I find myself on the other side of the chair, I take immense pride in the education I provide to every client who entrusts me with their hair.

My products aren't working anymore!!

I hear this quite often from clients. They text me and ask for new product recommendations because their products are no longer working.

Before you throw out the products that were working perfectly fine a week ago let's take a step back.

Ask yourself this one question....when was the last time I clarified my curls? If the answer is over a month ago...it might be time to clarify.

Think of this...your products can't do their job when they have to try and fight through weeks worth of product or hard water buildup. You'll be amazed at what getting rid of all the build up will do for you.

🗣quick tip....always pair your clarify day with a deep conditioner. This will help so your hair starts off right.

Calling all curl friends!!!!!

The summers in Idaho can really take it out of our curls. The heat, swimming pools, riding with the windows down....it can all compromise our crown of curls.

This is to remind you to take a moment and deep condition those locks of yours. You'll be amazed how they bounce back if you give them a little TLC.

Are you curious how the first appointment is going to go??

It can be kinda scary coming to a new stylist. Especially when you've had curl trauma. No stress.....We're gonna make it through it together.

You'll come into the suite and I'll be there to greet you! I get really excited with new guests, so prepare yourself.

You'll get nice and comfy in the chair and we'll go over your concerns, struggles and goals.

Once we are on the same page about your hair goals then the cut will begin. It's a dry cut. If at any time you get nervous just tell me. I've been there. And I got you. If we need to talk it out some that is OK.

After the cut we will move to washing. This is the best part...you get to lay back and relax while I cleanse and hydrate those curls of yours. (Be ready to learn cause I throw all the tips and tricks at you, so you can have amazing curls)

Once those curls are looking hydrated we'll move back to the chair where I'll diffuse and style your hair before taking after photos then sending you on your marry way.

Can I share a secret?

Did you know that your hair will tell you when it has the right amount of product in it?

After you place your gel or cream your hair should feel like seaweed. It should have a gentle slip to it.

If it feels like snot you have used a little to much. Nobody likes the feel of snot including your curl strands...so let's just not do that to them ok??
