Black Sacra Frankincense – My Newest Obsession

Some plant allies whisper. This one showed up with bark still clinging to its skin — dark, sticky, unapologetically powerful — and it hasn’t let me go since.

This is Black Sacra, a rare form of frankincense resin from the Boswellia sacra trees of southern Oman. Grown in rocky desert terrain and harvested with reverence just once or twice a year, this resin holds deep ancestral energy. It’s whole, wild, and real. It still smells like the tree. It still feels like the tree.

🖤 Why I’m completely obsessed:
• Wild-harvested in Oman – the sacred homeland of true frankincense
• Thick, dark resin with bark intact – nothing stripped, nothing tamed, just imperfectly perfect
• High in boswellic acids – perfect for medicine, skincare, and deep ritual work
• The scent is subtle, but soul-deep – not loud or sharp like commercial frankincense; it’s softer, more reverent, like incense rising in a temple. It lingers in the spirit and in the air.

I’ve only just welcomed her into my apothecary, but I already feel the pull.
This isn’t just a resin. It’s a sacred relationship — with the land, the tree, and the Earth itself. It reminds us of who we are and where we came from, and I am so honored to be able to work with it.
