Lily's Lotion & Things
I'm just a person with varied interests wanting to share my random crafts and things with others.

It's Christmas season and I've gone a bit overboard on my spending. Nothing I can't recover from, but we're feeling the pinch a bit. I'm off work the next couple of weeks so I would like to open up my crafty-ness to others in exchange for modest prices.
I can wrap presents for people.
Can make you crystal necklaces (either with my extras or any you provide),
magnesium bath teas, scent sachets, magnesium oil, cedar smoke cleansing sticks, origami/yarn flowers.
I can probably make semi-decent bows. Maybe some braided bracelets with a red or blue tiger's eye (and/or a cross). I can do simple sewing projects with materials i have on hand like pillows, book pocket pillows, knit baby wraps, microwaveable handwarmers. Etc.
I'm thinking most prices would be between $5-$50 depending on how much time, complexity, and energy they take. I'll share some pictures of things I've done for examples.

I had a cedar tree limb down recently (the limb is big enough to be its own mini tree), and I've spent the last few days harvesting as much of the juniper berries as I can and making my first smudge sticks. They're going to take at least 3 weeks to dry since I don't have a dehydrator, and I'll be giving some to friends, but I should have plenty to sell as well.
I've decided to change up my business model a bit. (I would change my business name but I don't know how to do that.) I've noticed that I just can't put forth the effort and energy to make things consistently and then find customers, so, im going to make random things and if people want them, then cool, if not, then at least i had fun in the making.
People are also welcome to request I make something they'd like to buy (in fact, please do. Having a direction to point my attention towards is fun. I will let you know if it's something I cannot do.)
Also, I will no longer make lotion in advance. If you want some, let me know, and I'll make it. I can't keep letting it expire before it gets sold, and I don't want to spend my time and energy on something people won't buy.

Wishing all the staff, families and students a beautiful year ahead- May everyone stay healthy and have all the adventures.

Had several people ask me about the Culinary Allies series yesterday-
It is a series where we are focusing on a herb associated primarily as a food staple or ingredient but each ARE so much more and it's something I feel called to educate people about to help empower them to utilize these more common and certainly less expensive plants in their every day life. Each one of these common kitchen herbs and spices were one considered some of the more potent acting plants in the medicine cabinet and we explore both the historical uses and the modern science backing those uses.
We do cover multiple ways to enjoy them as foods but the hope is to inspire people to explore other ways to incorporate them in different dishes, medicinal ways or in the garden. People who've taken these classes most often comment- "I never knew that" "I can't wait to make this for so and so" "I never would have thought to put this in this recipe" "WOW".
Hope this answers a few questions and hope to see some of you at a future class.
