People often ask me why I started making candles, and the answer is much more personal than simply loving candles.

After living with heart failure for years, I discovered that the fumes from store bought candles were making my breathing problems worse. I wasn’t ready to give up something I loved, so I started making my own with cleaner, more mindful ingredients. What began as a way to keep something I enjoyed in my life quickly became a passion.

Then I lost my mom, Robin. During one of the darkest seasons of my life, candle making became more than a creative outlet… it became a way to pour my grief into something beautiful. When I created Nibor Nest & Co., I named it after her. “Nibor” is Robin spelled backward, so a piece of her would always be part of what I created.

Today, every candle is a reminder that even in the hardest seasons, we can still create light. I hope each one brings a little calm, comfort, and intention into your space.
