a professionally underserviced area, I traveled to get my hair done. One day I could not afford the expense so I bought my first wig (her name was Carmen), I was in love. I’ve always wanted to help other women feel as good about their self as I did therefore I went to school, acquired a degree in Business Administration, and started my own business. Anyone can feel great with a wig or weave but when I spent some time in the hospital a while back, I met some ladies who were fighting cancer. I knew when I started my business that I wanted it to stand for the empowerment of women and who better to support than these warriors. I began throwing cancer awareness events locally and eventually attracted the attention of the Mayor and received a proclamation on December 14, 2013 making this day the official Get Your Wig On Day.
