For this service I did a mix of balayage and baby lights in the crown, mohawk, and face framing sections to add lots of detail to her color.
For over a year we had been doing an all over color with a demi permanent rather than permanent color. Demi permanent color typically will last 4-6 weeks (depending on how often you wash your hair) after that the color will start to fade softly.
The demi made it so when she wanted to go back to blonde or bring some dimension to her color it would be easy to lighten not having to break through levels of the hair as well as layers of permanent color. This was important so we could leave little to no damage which is always the goal!
I know with fall being here it’s so tempting to go dark so I figured I’d share this important info! Trust me I’ve been tempted lately to go dark as well🤪 no shame

Today we focused on her my client’s full highlight to blend the top and bottom half of her hair, she had always done a partial in her prior appointments so the bottom needed some love. We also went in with a lowlight to break up the dimension at the top so now when she comes back to see me next time she won’t have such a dramatic grow out! I love how this color turned out 😊

Today we did a full highlight for blonde coverage but wanted to focus mostly on getting the ends blonde. So I foiled everything then covered most of the ends with lightener for and extra pop. I toned for a natural linden and gave her a shadow root to keep this look low maintenance because she’s leaving for college next week!!
