Every year on my birthday, I reflect and reset
Here’s what I’ve learned…
I honor the lows as much as the highs, because through struggle and pain, I’ve grown. Living in the present moment is my secret weapon for a more peaceful life. Worry and stress only create unnecessary chaos over things that can’t be changed in the moment.

I budget my energy. I no longer give it freely to those who don’t align with it. I no longer chase. If there isn’t equal energy exchange, I move on instead of trying harder. I’ve learned this came from a core wound of not feeling accepted or feeling left out.

If it disrupts my peace, I cut it out and walk away with grace and love. For those who have caused me pain, I pivot my energy and proceed accordingly, wishing them the best. Knowing everyone is on their own journey helps me not take things personally or see them as a reflection of my worth.

Other people’s opinions of me are none of my business. I no longer look to others for validation—I have all the answers within me, powered by God. I am only in competition with myself.

The more I resisted, the more it persisted. Going with the flow brings abundance in every aspect of life. Awareness has become my best friend. I live each day in gratitude, love, and kindness as best I can. I’ve learned to truly love myself.

Making a big deal of my birthday shifted from wanting to feel special to wanting to celebrate the day I came into this world. I LOVE life!!!
