What are your goals for the month? Is there someone in your life that can hold you accountable?
I try to do things on my own a lot. Iām a DIYāer at heart. But if Iām being completely honest, this is more of a pride issue. In the past year Iāve learned that I excel much faster and more efficiently when I have extra accountability and support. But I also learned that it doesnāt just show up when you want it to or need it to. You have to ask for it. Iām so thankful I have a large community of like-minded individuals that are pursuing the same goal: to be their best self. And I can certainly learn a lot by watching them. However, thereās a difference between watching and doing. I recently reached out to a trusted coach and mentor that Iāve worked with in the past, for some extra help in areas where Iām struggling.
Mentors and coaches are so valuable. Think about what areas of your life where you might need a mentor or coach. And then reach out to someone to help you set some attainable goals. Surround yourself with a community (or find one person) that will hold you accountable.

Sometimes youāve gotta be your own cheerleader. Not everyone is going to be there to clap for you and give you a high five after a workout. Youāve gotta learn to clap for yourself and do it for your own accolades. It means so much more when we keep the promises we make to ourselves and reach our goals in silence. I can assure you that no one cares about that pr more than you do!
So, go on and give yourself that high fiveāfor yesterdayās girl that set a goal, believed she could. And did! āš»

If you are 40 and over you need to be lifting weights and eating a lot of protein!! Ladiesā-Iām specifically talking to YOU! We are peri menopausal and our bodies need to continue building muscle to support the aging process.
While we need the right amount of protein for our age and activity level (ranging from a minimum .8 grams/kg to ā
grams/kg or more for certain athletes).
The easiest way to measure this is by eating a palm-sized piece of protein (either grass-fed meats, poultry, eggs, or fish) twice a day. This rule works whether you are a 6ā10ā basketball player or a five-year-old.
If you donāt know where to find quality meat. There are a few great options out there. One would be to participate in a cow share from a regenerative farm, or you can find some ways to find affordable options at local grocery stores.

It took me awhile to embrace the new yearāI wonāt lie. I had so many projects I was working on, that I wasnāt in the right headspace to set health goals for myself. I know I donāt have to worry about muscle loss or inches gained when Iām in maintenance. Iām able to control water intake, intermittent fasting and protein priorityāeven if Iām not tracking my macros down to the gram or hitting the gym 4 days a week. However, a routine feels good and Iām glad Iām finally in a place where I can put my health first, lean back in to the program + community, set new goals, jump out of maintenance, and push myself harder.
If youāre feeling like you got a late startāyou are not alone! Donāt give up on the next 11 months just because January didnāt go as planned. Finish strongāeven if you started slow. š

Last year (like 4 days ago š) I was really tired of getting to 5 o'clock and not having a plan for dinner. No one could think of anything that sounded good, and we were all out of ideas. All 4 of us would end up grabbing the closest, most convenient thing to eat and it wasn't always healthy. More times than not it was highly processed with no nutritional value at all. And all of this because I didn't take the time to plan our meals. It literally takes a few minutes each week to guarantee success with staying on track. I'm following the meal plan for our FASTerWay VIP 6 week challenge that starts TODAY! My entire family is taking their health very seriously these days, so we will ALL be eating on plan. Which is just good ol fashioned Whole Foods that come from the ground or have a mother. FASTerWay makes it super easy by including a weekly meal plan (with lunches and snacks included!) I love that I don't have to do much planning, just grocery shopping (they include an extensive grocery list, too!,) and preparation. And I know it all fits within my macros.

Thankful for a fearless leader who challenges us in every aspect of our health, even spiritually.
Who do you need to forgive before moving on to the New Year? I've searched my heart and it's time to let some grievances go that I've been holding on to, and I feel so much lighter already. š
Sometimes the very best thing for my health and wellness is to forgive someone who doesnāt deserve it. Itās easy to love people who are kind ⦠but itās a whole different story to forgive, love, and pray for someone who has hurt me. As I look toward 2022, Iām ready to move into the year with joy, peace, grace, and forgiveness.
I donāt know about you - but there are plenty of examples of people in my life who are tough to love. Forgiving someone doesnāt mean I have to let them back into my inner circle ⦠however, it does mean I can choose compassion toward the individual and move on with my life in peace for the new year.
