Your client has alopecia areata.
You’ve done everything right on the scalp.
But nobody asked about her gut.
Here’s what the 2025 research actually says:
Alopecia areata patients have measurably different gut microbiomes than healthy controls.
The protective bacteria that produce butyrate — the compound that fuels your intestinal lining and keeps your immune system calibrated — are depleted.
And in their place?
