Feed-in braids refer to the technique of adding hair gradually to create a natural, seamless braid that starts small at the scalp and gets thicker along the way. The key focus is how the hair is “fed in” so the braid looks natural and flat.

• Example: Feed-in cornrows, feed-in ponytails, etc.
• Purpose: To avoid that bulky knot at the start and create a smoother, more natural look.

Stitch braids are a style (or pattern) of cornrows that use the feed-in method, but the braider parts the hair into clean “stitches” or lines between each section — giving it that detailed, striped look.
• Think of them like feed-in braids with visible stitch lines between each braid section.
• The “stitches” are made using your fingernails or a rat-tail comb for those neat, horizontal partings
