Life has a way of making us feel like we always need to hurry—to finish the next thing, check another box, and keep moving.

But when I step into my kitchen to make soap, I slow down.
I never take this process for granted. Every batch of Desert Bloom Soap Co. is made with intention. 🤍

I’m not simply trying to make a pretty bar of soap. I’m creating something I truly believe is better than what you’ll find on a store shelf. Better than a melt-and-pour base. No unnecessary ingredients just because they’re easy.

🌿 Every oil has a purpose.
🌿 Every butter is chosen intentionally.
🌿 Every essential oil blend is thoughtfully created.
🌿 Every natural ingredient is there for a reason.

Cold process soapmaking is beautifully unpredictable. Temperature matters. Timing matters. Ingredients matter. Even the environment around me can change how a batch behaves.

And sometimes…it doesn’t go exactly as planned.
But that’s part of the beauty of it.

I slow down. I stay patient. I work with the soap instead of rushing it. And little by little, simple ingredients become something pretty incredible. ✨

There is meaning behind what I make and why I make it.
Knowing that something I created with my own hands will eventually end up in someone else’s home—becoming part of their morning shower, their nighttime routine, or simply a little moment of care in their day—is something I’ll never stop appreciating.

This isn’t mass produced.

It’s slow made. Thoughtfully formulated. Handcrafted with intention.

And I wouldn’t want to make it any other way. 🤎

I’m super proud of this line up! And I can’t wait for you all to try it! I’ll be stocking a little early at Desert Porch Mercantile tomorrow for the Fall Event next weekend so everyone will have an early chance to buy! It’s my daughter’s birthday next weekend so I can’t attend the event but the table will be ready!! 🙌🤎🧡

Fall soaps are curing on the racks and just about ready for their debut!! I did 2 full sized bars, mini pumpkins and solid dish soap in pumpkin ramekins for this year’s Fall Products!

This one I’m sharing now is a sneak peek of Harvest Fig! Or at least my best interpretation of fig still using essential oil blends! It’s a warm mildly sweet scent and oh so delicious smelling! I’m totally saving one for myself! 😍

I made a quick trip to Havasu to stock up on all your favorites at Desert Porch Mercantile it’s seriously one of the cutest stores with so many unique items that I am lucky enough to get to stock my soaps at too!! Go check it out if you haven’t already and stock up on some amazing items!

We had some nice cool fall like vibes weather today so I had to share some fall prep! Who else is ready for fall? 🙋‍♀️

The reveal of the confetti soap 🧼

It’s not exactly as I had pictured because I thought I would overflow my mold so I didn’t add quite enough soap shavings, but it’s a great start and I still think it looks pretty! This confetti soap is a fun way to celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of Route 66!!

🧼When this bar is cured it will only be sold at CALICO’s RESTAURANT in downtown Kingman located off Route 66!

It is a LIMITED EDITION as I can only make it when I have enough soap shavings but the next batch will look a lot more confetti like 🤣🎉
