8 years. It’s honestly hard to put into words what it took to get here.

Behind Salt Studio are 8 years of endless hard work long days, late nights, early mornings, missed events, sacrifices, stress, tears, lessons, mistakes, growth, and so many moments where giving up would have been easier.

I’ve poured so much of myself into this business. I’ve invested in my education, pushed myself outside of my comfort zone, learned how to be a better stylist and business owner, and continued showing up through every season of life.

There have been incredible highs and some really hard lows. There have been days I questioned everything and days I looked around and couldn’t believe that something I once dreamed about had become my real life.

Owning a business isn’t always glamorous. Most people see the finished hair, the beautiful salon, the posts and the accomplishments but behind it are thousands of hours of work that nobody sees.

And I would do it all over again.

Salt Studio has grown with me. It has challenged me, humbled me, and taught me more than I could ever explain. And after 8 years, I’m still dreaming bigger, learning more, and finding ways to make this place better.

To every client who has sat in my chair, referred a friend, shared a post, supported an idea, trusted me with their hair, or simply cheered me on, thank you. You are the reason I get to continue doing something I love.

I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve built, but even more excited about where we’re going.

Hi everyone! As most of you might already know,

My name is Salina. I was also born and raised right here in Kodiak Alaska. My life right now revolves around my family and my two beautiful baby girls, so if I’m not stuck behind my nail desk spending time with my lovely clients, as a mother I am running around chasing my littles ones and making sure I give them the best lives they could ever dream of! With that being said, that is why I have become my own boss in starting my nail business!

Not only do I enjoy making my own hours, but I absolutely love being artistic and creative. So in 2022 I decided to further educate myself and get my manicurist license in Anchorage through MetrOasis LLC. After getting certified, I came back home, got licensed through the board and started taking clients. After creating so many new friendships and clientele, I have learned to realize my passion for creating beautiful nails, and by the end of the day it was all about the girls and how happy they were to see me and have the prettiest nails of course!

I specialize in Gel Manicures and Gel Extensions, but I’m mostly known for my precise nail designs and your over all nail health (some can say my appointments are considered good for your mental health too)!

This year I have made the decision to join Marrisa, and she has welcomed me into her amazing salon to work side by side with all these wonderful ladies! Thank you for this great opportunity and I can’t wait to see you all at Salt.
