Our Story
I started doing photography in 2011. At first it was just a hobby, but the more I played with my camera- the more I loved it. Soon photography became a side business and then grew into a full-time job. My entire career has been in my hometown of Oak Grove, Louisiana and surrounding areas. I am new to Tennessee. We moved to Lafayette, TN in May 2018. Most of the photos on my page are just of my daughter Sylas because I’ve had a hard time getting the word out and finding new clients.
I have experience in a wide variety of photography because most of my clients would hire me based on their needs for their life as time went on. For example, one family initially just wanted couples photos. Then a year or so later they wanted engagement, bridal, and wedding photos. Fast forward and the couple had a sweet baby on the way, so I did the announcement photos, maternity session, and later found myself in the hospital room photographing the first 48 hours of their child’s life. After that we did birthday photos, Fall/Christmas/Spring sessions on a yearly basis. I went to this client’s home one day, and it brought tears to my eyes to see the wide range of framed photos and canvas prints hanging on their walls. It really hit home with me because I captured those precious memories for them. I felt honored they loved the photos enough to show them off for everyone to see.
Photography is about so much more than the press of a button or having a nice camera. I love capturing those candid moments when you aren’t posed and stiff looking. I want to see laughter, tickles, kisses, hugs, and real emotion. Of course there’s room for a nice posed shot, but in between I love to interact and have fun! I try very hard to make my clients feel at ease- which is so important. I want you to walk away saying you had fun and can’t wait until next time!
I am a freelance makeup artist, so if you’d like help with your makeup or help picking out what to wear- I’m here for you. I look forward to what this year has in store for my business, and I hope to hear from ya’ll soon.
