As I head into the final stretch of pregnancy and approach 38 weeks, I've been leaning into one of my favorite third trimester rituals: red raspberry leaf tea.

Normally it's enjoyed warm, but let's be honest, Louisiana summers and hot tea don't exactly go hand in hand right now. Cold brewing keeps it refreshing, easy to sip throughout the day.

My current favorite combination? Red raspberry leaf tea with a splash of honey peach syrup from Sarahtonin Syrups (Bonus points, she uses Bayou Country Honey to make this amazing syrup!!) a delicious little treat that makes staying hydrated feel extra special. 🍑🍯

So why do so many moms choose red raspberry leaf tea in the third trimester?

• May help support and tone the uterine muscles in preparation for labor
• Traditionally used to support more efficient contractions during labor
• Rich in minerals including magnesium, calcium, and potassium
• Can be a nourishing way to support hydration during late pregnancy

As always, herbal support during pregnancy should be individualized, but for me this has become one of my favorite ways to nourish my body and slow down during these last few weeks before meeting baby boy.

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be at the Tour de Mother event this weekend!

This is such an amazing FREE opportunity thanks to for moms to meet and connect with other moms right here in Lafayette in collaboration with Reve Coffee Lab in River Ranch and lululemon. It’ll be a light walk + social: something simple, refreshing, and so needed in this season of motherhood.
