Meet one of our many talented stylists, Jenna. She has lived in lakeland for 13 years and has been a hairstylist for 9 years.

She is a Schwarzkopf master colorist, extension specialist, and also specializes in precision cutting. Jenna also attended the Aveda institute. “Color was always my first love, but I genuinely love all of it.”

When asked what her favorite hair service or speciality was, she replied:
“I understand the importance of stylists finding their niche or specialty, but I’ve never wanted to put myself in a box. I love learning and I love figuring out how to do things that aren’t in my comfort zone and perfecting them.”

Recently she has been enjoying extensions. “My clientele is so diverse and that makes work really fun and different every day. It’s important to me that everyone leaves my chair the best version of THEMSELVES, ya know. Figuring out what’s the best look for them rather than everyone looking the same or doing what’s “trendy” at the moment.”

Jenna is a chill person who enjoys her downtime and outside of work, “I truly am a homebody. I love spending time with my dogs, cooking and reading. I love to travel too when I can get away from the chair!”

Jenna said, “I chose Do or Dye because I trusted Kevin’s vision. We have known each other and worked alongside one another for years, have similar views, ideas and the same vibe. It’s been so fun brainstorming and watching everything come together. He also lets me bring my dog, Dylan, to work sometimes which is a fun bonus! So say hi if you see him one day in the salon! :)”

Hello, I’m Kevin Abad, the owner of Do or Dye. I have worked in the hair industry for 20 years, beginning when I was only 19 years old. I am a certified Schwarzkopf Master Colorist and have had some training in New York City. I love cutting hair so I’m always looking for new techniques to improve my skills. I also have a lot of fun with color and I try my best to keep up with the trends. I’d have to say, though, my absolute favorite part of this job are my clients, my people. I cherish the connections and relationships I’ve made along the way. I’ve shared countless laughs and tears with so many of my loyal clients and that what makes it all worth while. The people of Lakeland have been so good to me and I’m honored to open this salon and finally be able to give them an experience they’ve been waiting for and deserve.

I decided to open Do or Dye because of all of the hardships I have experienced in previous salons. I wanted this salon to be different, better. Do or Dye is a salon by stylists, for stylists. By creating a beautiful, modern, elegant, feminine space with top-of-the-line amenities, our stylists are able to offer an elevated experience to their clients.

I didn’t do all this alone. Jason Ellis, my best friend, housemate, and business partner plays a vital role in making Do or Dye a dream come true. I am so thankful he has my back and continues to push me to become, not only the best version of myself but, more business minded and successful.
