The problem is not knowledge, it's consistency.!!
Let's talk about our Health...
We all know how important it is to take care of our health specially in this pandemic scenario..
We are aware of "what needs to be done" but the question arises "How often do we do it?"
& That's where I say - Consistency is lacking..
Why can't we be consistent? Because:
🥱We are bored
🍔Cravings for unhealthy stuff
🤔Not able to follow
😭Not seeing results
🥴It's difficult to follow
The reason could be anything…
It's easy to start and jump to any routine in excitement of doing something new… what's hard is sustaining it.. It needs practice and persistence..

As a health and wellness coach, Its not uncommon for me to listen to such excuses from my clients..
I will give you some easy ways that I have recently learnt to adopt healthy eating habits.
First rule - Try to avoid bad habits first instead of pushing yourself hard to adopt good habits.
How?
Here’s the trick:
1️⃣Remove the cues of bad habits from your surroundings. That means avoid shopping for unhealthy stuff. This will automatically reduce the consumption
2️⃣Place healthy stuff instead. So you are forced to binge on the food that you are supposed to eat
3️⃣Read on the benefits of eating healthy and disadvantages/health risks of eating unhealthy food. This will create an awareness and you will think twice before eating /buying unwanted stuff
4️⃣Make unhealthy eating difficult. Since you have stopped storing it, even if you crave it, there are multiple steps involved like stepping out of the house, buying from the supermarket and then eating.. I am sure no one will take so much pain
If you practice this, i am sure the eating habits will definitely change.
Take this up as a weekend activity, so you start healthy from “Monday” which is always targeted to start new habits..

The second day of diet is always easier than the first
It's just that you have to START...
'Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho to tum zarur usko hasil kar sakete ho'
(Expected Om Shanti Om dialogue?) 😜.
So people who were like "1st se start karte hai" might have started healthy routine from yesterday..
If not then "Monday se karte hai"
Don't just keep on delaying good health.. .

How many DAYS are required to form a habit?🤔
The correct question is:
How many REPETITIONS it takes to form habit?
Days doesn't matter - 21,30,300...what matters is in these many days, how many times the activity was performed.
For example: A habit of going for a walk. Habit will be formed only if we go for a walk daily & not just once or twice in 21 days..
To build a habit, you need to practice it.
Which healthy habit you want to cultivate? Think about it over the weekend and start from Monday! 😁

Have a great, healthy and relaxing weekend..
It's very important to stay positive and motivated in such time of crisis.. & I also understand it's difficult because I too make efforts at times...
Avoid reading/watching news that spread negativity, try and help someone in need, read/listen positive talks....
Eat healthy, 30 mins of workout at home will keep you healthy and deal with the stress...

Similarly, there is a difference between weight loss & fat loss - which most of us consider the same.
We all want to lose fat when going down on weight and not the muscles which are actually the building block of our body…This is the major difference between the two which we fail to understand.
Takeaway: A good and healthy plan will work on reducing your fats and increasing your muscles hence giving you a “HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS”.

Welcoming weekend with an open arms and closed doors.. 🚪
Sitting at home is so boring... 🥱
Not at all.. this is what you can do to enjoy "Lockdown weekend":
✨Read a book
✨Follow your passion
✨Cover up on your sleep
✨Do some Home workouts (ask for any help)
✨ Walk down the memory lane with some old photographs
✨Chill out and watch your favorite movie
✨Some good series on Netflix - just finished ' Cobra Kai', it's a good watch
Ofcourse, avoid unnecessary travel, don't forget to wear mask, wash hands frequently..
My plan: read a book "Atomic Habits", do some yoga, prepare interesting content for you all. Since I am quarantined for couple of more days - I can't step out of my room, forget about stepping out of the house.. 🙄
