Anagen is the active growth phase, and it’s the best time for electrolysis because the hair is fully connected to the growth cells at the base of the follicle. When we treat hairs in this stage, we have the best chance of permanently disabling them.

This is also why consistency matters so much. Regular appointments help us catch more hairs as they enter anagen instead of chasing them later in the cycle.

And see how plump those root sheaths look? That’s also a sign of good hydration. Well-hydrated follicles conduct current better and release more easily, which makes treatments smoother and more effective.

Is electrolysis really permanent?

This is one of the most common questions I get and the answer is yes.

Electrolysis treats the hair at the root and destroys the cells responsible for regrowth. That’s why it’s the only FDA recognized method of permanent hair removal.

That said, permanent doesn’t mean instant. Hair grows in cycles and consistency is key.
