Happy shopping! The Blonde Bomb Boutique all started with a little dream, a lot of drive, and a ton of encouragement! My late Papa Mickey Kramer was the one who termed me as his "Blonde Bomb" when I was just a young little thing! I sure was and still am a papa's girl so it only seemed fitting to use this as my boutique name.

Now that I am back to work and for the most part recovered, I will share the last two weeks of my life with those who don’t know yet. Two weeks ago tomorrow will be a night I will never forget. My life literally came to a complete stop. For those who don’t know, I am severely, as in immediate anaphylactic shock, allergic to black ants. Yes, one of God’s smallest creations has it out for me! Anyways, I was fixing a clamp on my pool pump when a swarm bit my left ankle and foot. Immediately, my limbs, eyes, lips, mouth, and throat began to swell and close up. I knew I didn’t have time to call anyone or even 911 because they wouldn’t get to me in time. So, I drove myself to the ER and called Hiedi Y Dinges to make sure my sweet George would be taken care of if I didn’t walk out of there that night. Immediately, I was injected immediately with LOTS of epi. Because of the massive swelling in my throat and lung, the speed and severity of the reaction, the ER doctor told me I was too far gone for the epi to be effective. These are the last moments I remember. I was intubated, placed in a medically induced coma, put on a ventilator, and placed in the ICU for the next 3 days in the of my life. As my body fought to live, my family and so many friends prayed, cried, visited, and prayed so more. For these prayers and these people I will forever be thankful. Sunday, they began to take me off the ventilator and by the grace of our good Lord, I woke up. My heart rate began to stabilize, and I was able to breathe (kind of) on my own. The doctors in the ICU told me that “I was knocking on Heaven’s door!” Well, you know my humor, so I said, “ Sir, I am very directionally challenged, so I am sure I was at the wrong door!” He laughed and said “You have a purpose in this world. I don’t know how but you are still here for a reason.” When I woke up, I thought it had just been an hour or so. I was quickly informed it had been 3 days since I was coherent. I was released that afternoon to go home and recover. The next week is a blur still. I couldn’t remember anything, still don’t honestly, didn’t sleep for 4 days after being released, and could not eat much because my throat was damaged from intubation. But my parents stayed by my side, held me as I cried out of stress, fear, and frustration, and kept pushing me forward. So, so, so many friends texted, called, came by and checked in on me. My amazing work family prayed and rallied together to make sure my sweet second graders were taken care. The words thank you are just not enough to show how much they helped me and supported me over this past week. If you know me, you know how much I love every single child I have now and have ever taught so for me to not be able to be there for my kiddos crushed me. If I have taught your child, you know my saying,” Once a Wolfe kid, always a Wolfe kid!” My friends and colleagues at CIS are truly beyond amazing. I am so grateful for each one of you who said even one prayer for me during this time. George even got be the “assistant principal,” “Hiedi’s helper,” and got to hang with Skyler the first Friday while I was in ICU. I will forever be so thankful for the people who have been there for me. Going forward, I have found a specialist who treats only venom allergies and will begin the five year+ monthly treatment plan in October. I know I will be very sick of Denver when it is said and done but I am thankful God gave my doctors their specialties and that I someday will hopefully not have to live in fear of a small bite. I am, and have been, an Epi pen carrier. Four will now be with me at all times, everywhere. Each day, I get a little stronger, and am very slowly learning to not live with anxiety over this. This experience has taught me that you truly are never promised tomorrow. Now, things that used to matter seem so very small in comparison. Each morning I wake up to live another day, I thank God for my family, friends, and my life. It could have been so different so quickly. I will forever be so thankful for each person in my life and for the time I have with them. You never know when it could all be over so quickly. What I have learned is to hold the ones you love so very tight, live each day praising God for his mercies and blessings, and never take one moment for granted. Thank you again to everyone who prayed. I am here today because my story is not over, my purpose for this world has not been fulfilled yet, and those prayers saved my life. I will continue to grow stronger, do what I can to fight, and never ever waste another moment. Praise Jesus I am here and can say that!! Thank you once again to EVERY single person who prayed, helped me, checked in, brought food, texted, stood by my side, and continues to do so. I love you all and will never miss a chance again of saying those words to you.

At the start of each school year, I am asked what I need for my classroom. At the end of last year, I left my students make my list for the next upcoming group of second graders. Of course, I included some “teacher needs.” It was such a fun experience letting my precious class chose what they felt would be great for the next group of “Wolfes!”
For those who have been asking, here is our ultimate classroom wishlist. Please feel feee to share our list. Thank you, in advance, for helping make this year another amazing one as a Cache Bulldog!!! All your support is so greatly appreciated!

The Blonde Bomb Boutique got creative & after some sweat equity & probably a few choices words, created these chicken wire & wooden framed displays for her jewelry! Not every display project is easy, but so worth it for the end results!
