Brunette makeovers will forever have my heart ❤️‍🔥 She was ready for a big change, starting with chopping about 6 inches if not a little more, that I forgot to record. 🙃 She knew she wanted to be super dark brown, with some lighter pops of color throughout. To still keep this a lower maintenance look, I decided to use teasylights for the lighter pieces so they could grow out softly, and since we went darker she was okay with touching up the dark at the roots if needed! Full blonde refresh in just over a minute - I WISH I could foil this fast 🤣 Bless @kyleigh_turpin for always hanging out with me all day on hair days all these years and being my test run for recording some behind the scenes. 🫶🏼 Full foil using a mixture of baby light weaves + slices + Wet balayage to refresh dull ends + Global gloss: 10vv, 10p, 10t, 10gi And 5 hours later we are refreshed + bright ⚡️

I really missed an opportunity to film myself trying to wash my own hair in the shampoo bowl for this reel. 😂 It’s rare that I blow dry my hair on wash day, but after this I may have to do it more often! I always start by rough drying my hair about 50%-80% of the way before ever adding in a round brush. I especially focus this at the root using my fingers to pull my hair up and away from my head. Hair is much more elastic when wet, so I want to make sure that when I’m adding tension and pulling on it with a round brush that it is mostly dry and more for smoothing and adding volume at this point to help minimize damage. Also your arms will thank you for not trying to round brush hair that is still soaking wet. Finding good products to use during your blowout will also help with heat protection, smoothness, volume, etc. adding in styling products and a texture spray has made all the difference in how well my hair will hold a style! One thing about me, I absolutely L O V E a textured bob. Global color formula: 3-65 + 4-0 + 4-6 + 4-46 -processed on dry hair for 20 min For the cut the goal was somewhere in between shoulder and chin length. I cut the bulk of the length before her color and fine tuned the rest of it after shampooing. By adding internal layering + texturizing I was able to build volume and movement to give her finer textured hair more life! Also adding an undercut to a bob haircut makes such a huge difference! @rayvoltagebeauty I owe you + your knowledge you share on this platform for helping me fall in love with bob haircut’s even more. The famous gloss video 🤤😍 ———————————————————— You may see me post a gloss video or gloss formula on here a lot, but what is it?? I customize a gloss for your hair after each lightening session. It’s also something I offer as a stand alone appointment as a refresh for your lived-in color. — When lightening hair, warmth is inevitable. EVERYONE’S HAIR LIFTS WARM. There’s no getting around it. It’s called contributing pigment, which by definition is the varying degree of warmth exposed during the lightening service. Seeing orange or yellow after a lightening service is normal. So the gloss I formulate for you will help to neutralize those tones and give you a beautiful natural color until we are able to lift through the tones. That being said, even the lightest and brightest blondes should only be lifted to a pale yellow to avoid extreme damage to the hair. The gloss also allows us to give you the tones you want like beige, platinum, honey, ash, copper, etc. —— I personally like to gloss every client’s hair after the lightening service, even if it’s just with clear. The gloss will help to seal the cuticle back down and help to restore the pH of the hair after a chemical service. —— The gloss however is temporary. Things like being out in the sun, the porosity/health of the hair, And improper home care can affect how long the gloss will last. The gloss/glaze/toner: - neutralizes unwanted tones (brassy, yellow, etc.) - Seals the cuticle back down and restores the ph of the hair after a lightening service. -Gives incredible shine and the tones you typically see (beige, ash, icy, honey)
