Ever heard the Japanese word "kintsugi"? Essentially it's the art of repairing broken pottery with gold. The idea is that embracing the flaws can create an even more beautiful and special piece.
I have to remind myself about kintsugi often, because my handmade items are never perfect. There are always flaws (some bigger than others!) in my work. I need to remember that the flaws are reminders of the handmade nature of my work, and that nature makes them unique and beautiful. So although my pieces are far from perfect, that is what makes them special ❤
