I know I never post on this page but let’s face it….. I’m retiring from salon work soon so I’m not trying to build a clientele. That doesn’t mean the people that have followed me for 20 years are forgotten…. It just means I post on my private page because you’ve known me 20 years and are on my private page more!

One of the things client have told me year after year after year is that husbands and spouses don’t understand why getting you nails done takes so long! Now, we understand why.

Here’s a great video that explains it! A friend of mine did 3 design nails. The first one she did in 20 minutes, the second in 10 minutes and the third in one minute. Wait until you see the difference!!!

So if you’re like my clients and you get 10 nails of art, each one takes me 15-20 minutes…. You need to add 2-3 HOURS of time for just the art!!!!

Clients …. You should expect to PAY FOR 2-3 hours of work!!!

Nail professionals YOU SHOULD BE CHARGING FOR 2-3 HOURS OF WORK!

Boyfriends and spouses… you should shut up and the only thing that comes from you should be, “ wow, your nails look amazing!”

Now if you only get an accent nail on each hand….. that’s still an additional 40 MINUTES added to your nail time.

So what am I saying? I’m saying we love doing nail art! We love expressing the holidays on your nails. It does however take time…. And yes money.

This is a job for us. We love you but it’s a job!!! We need to feed our families!

So please keep this in mind and don’t get upset when there’s a charge for nail art ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Long day at work and just like every year my last client on Christmas Eve was…. ME! A quick 10 minute fill and 15 minute nail art to look presentable. Lol don’t judge! The mechanic never works on his car and the carpenter always has a million house projects unfinished…. Well the nail professional slaps her nails on ( unless we are going to a trade show or event lol).

Such a busy week…. 3 weddings to do…. One of them the same bride a day apart😁. I loved doing a set of nails full bling for a wedding traditional to her heritage and one a day later for a USA traditional wedding!!! So cool!!!

At the airport! On my way to the Nail Show of the Smokies!!! Taking a couple classes including an airbrush class!!! I can’t wait to see how my nail art improves when I can airbrush American Flags and not hand paint them!!!!

Continuing education 10+ years after getting my license as an educator myself and as a nail PROFESSIONAL!!!
