Big News: LolaLand Creations is moving! We are moving from Dallas, TX to the South Bay Area in California. Do any of you live in the Bay Area? I WILL BE CLOSED FOR ORDERS FOR THE REST OF 2013 so we can get settled and I can figure out the legal stuff for running a business there. In the mean time, if any of you have any tips for how to keep a 1yr old and 3yr old happy on the long drive from Texas and California, I would be MUCH obliged if you shared them with me. Thanks!

My awesome parents picked up my girls so I can prep for Saturday's craft fair. Please help me decide what to work on. What would you be most interested in at a craft fair: crocheted hats, turkey onesies, tie onesies, burp cloths, or hair accessories?

Two burp cloths for one special little lady and one quilt row for another special little lady hot off the machine! Next up is more craft fair goodies. Locals, come visit me this Saturday at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church pumpkin patch and craft fair!

I'm trying to wait patiently for the equinox before I let myself get too psyched about fall. Blanket and hat season, here we come! 'Fess up, friends. Who already has fall decor up?

Five years ago today, my friend taught me to chain and single crochet during a Lord of the Rings marathon. It's been a fun journey of wonky edges, giant yarn tangles that took hours to untangle, hook-eating couches, and more! But oh the fun when you turn loose strands of yarn into something like this! I've been making a lot of these lately!

TGIF, but more importantly, thank God it's ANY day that I am and you, dear reader/fan/friend, are alive!

The weekend's arrival is a relief to most of us as it generally presents at least a small opportunity for variety and rest. But I want to live my life in such a way that I am grateful for ALL the days (Mondays included)! Trials and tribulation are all around and will strike home at any time. But even in the midst of them, I want to live my life fully in 'the now' instead of waiting for 'the Friday' of circumstances.

I was commissioned by a friend to crochet something very unique. I took some quick shots with a very willing (read: stuffed) model and will try to get one posted tonight. I guess we'll find out then how many of you are nerd cultured by whether or not you recognize it. Do you think you're cultured in 'nerd'?
