We got our maternity photos back so I wanted to share a few with y’all and re-introduce myself for the new faces here!

I’m Megan, the face behind AUREA Skin 🤍 I’ve been an esthetician for 3 years, and I thought I’d share a little bit about how I got here!

Before I found my passion in skincare, I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Communications. After trying out a few different jobs, nothing quite clicked… until I discovered the world of esthetics and everything changed!

After college in 2019, I moved back to Washington State to start life with my fiancé (now hubby). I went to beauty school in 2021, and shortly after, opened up my own business! I started out in my sister-in-law’s studio for the first few months before creating a space of my own. Back then, it was called Forget Me Not Esthetics!

My first studio was so special! I loved decorating it and making it truly mine. That little space is where I grew my clientele and built so many amazing relationships. I’ll always be so grateful for the clients who trusted me with their skin in those early days.

In July 2023, my lease ended, and my husband and I started a whole new adventure - moving back to Kentucky! I had a little in-between studio for a couple months before we officially moved in October. Saying goodbye to my Washington clients was so tough, but I’m so thankful we still keep in touch!

With a new chapter came a fresh start and a new name! I wanted something meaningful for my new spa in Lexington, and kept coming back to our sweet golden pups. That’s how AUREA Skin was born — “Aurea” means golden, and it felt just right 🐾

In November 2023, my amazing realtor helped me find the dreamiest spa space, and after some fun renovations (thanks to my fam for all the help!!), I officially opened in January 2024! I’ve loved every second of bringing my vision to life.

And now... we’re expecting our first baby any day now!!! We don’t know the gender yet, so it’ll be a fun surprise. I can’t wait to share with you all!
