Why am I a ✨️ Bridal Stylist? ✨️

A mentor of mine used to say, "go bring out the beautiful today." I really took this to heart when I was in cosmetology school. It's something I strive to practice each time I do hair.

Everyday I meet new people. I get to make new connections. I get to do something different. I create art based on the person sitting in my chair! I am able to help someone create a visual representation on the outisde of the beautiful queen that I know is inside of each and every one of us. And I get to do it through hair design! (Can you tell I love my job?)

To be invited to be apart of such an intimate and personal celebration of someone's union with another soul. (Weddings are just so joyous!) I think thats magical. I feel so honored!

The emotion and pure, overwhelming, love in this photo between the bride and groom, is one perfect visual representation of why I do what I do. Because it brings me joy and I love to help others feel the same way for their wedding day.

I'm going to share some valuable tips to help you plan a hairstyle for your wedding day. Here's what you need to know:

1) Outdoor wedding? Consider an updo! If you're tying the knot in the great outdoors, opt for an updo hairstyle. Not only does it keep your hair secure and picture-perfect for any weather condition, its also going to keep you cool. Especially for a summer wedding, this is my number one recommendation!

2) Can't decide between two styles? Try them both!Try one style for your bridal shoot and another for the actual wedding day. This way, you get to experience two different looks AND you get a larger variety of photos.

3) Pick your hairstyle first THEN consider hair peices or a veil. Certain hairstyles lend better to a veil. It will be easier to decide on this preference once you know which look you are going for.

Remember, your wedding day is a celebration of love, joy, and the start of a beautiful journey. These tips will help you make the most of your hair preparations and ensure you feel like a radiant and confident bride. 💕

🌸 95% of pinterest wedding photos you see have that look of light and airy texture to the hair. It is nearly impossible to recreate something like that when the hair is weighed down by grease or grime.

of you may have noticed that I haven't posted, in weeks! Being 100% honest with you, until about a year ago, I didnt know one single thing about Instagram. .
I am currently taking a social media class that is going to help center the focus of my brand better. I am learning about so many things, and I'm trying new techniques off camera to find something that fits ME. You will probably see a change in color scheme soon and the way I post content. Just know, I'm trying to be better as a stylist, and a business woman. .

Veil placement: where do I put it?

I hear this question all the time! You've done your hair, you're feeling like a queen. Now what? Here are some great things to consider.

1. What kind of hairstyle are you planning to wear for the wedding day? Updos, for example, are classy and timeless and are often more intricate styles. If you want to show that off, then I would recommend placing the veil under the style. Placing the veil over the updo may cover up all those details!

2. Half up half down styles, for example, are usually more relaxed and simple. These styles are great for placing the veil on top of because they usually look the most cohesive visually.

3. Do you plan on wearing your veil all day? I'm going to be honest, most brides that I see end up removing their veil at some point throughout the day. If this sounds like you, then placement may not matter as much. BUT, I would highly HIGHLY recommend when you photograph your wedding details that you capture how your hair looked veil in and once the veil has been removed. You will get more variety with your photos that way!
