Building Atlanta’s #1 Nail Studio | Part 6: Meet Kory and Marylande

Every vision needs the right people to help bring it to life, and Kory and Marylande played a major role in turning this empty space into Trinity Image Nail Studio.

Marylande is my client, and Kory is her husband. When they first came to see the studio, I walked them through everything I envisioned for the space. I needed new flooring, a custom platform built for the pedicure chairs, and a sink installed along the back wall. These were not small details. They were some of the most important parts of creating a beautiful and functional home for Atlanta’s Russian Mani-Pedi experience.

Kory and Marylande listened to the vision, helped me work through the details, and got to work bringing it all together. Over the next few episodes, I’ll show you the flooring transformation, the pedicure platform being built, and the sink installation from start to finish.

Kory and Marylande, thank you both for helping me bring another part of this vision to life. I truly couldn’t have did it without you guys 🥹🙏🏾

Building Atlanta’s #1 Nail Studio | Part 5: The Paint 🎨

Now listen… Michael is an AMAZING painter. He’s a family friend, I love him down, and if you need a painter, I will absolutely send you his way.

But limewash???

At the time of this video, that was NOT one of his spiritual gifts. 😭😂

I had a vision for one limewash accent wall in the studio, and when I first saw it… baby. It looked like somebody had been fighting that wall. 😭

So I had to roll my sleeves up, get in the field, and help bring the vision to life.

And when I tell you this turned into a TWO-DAY process… 😩

Michael handled the rest of the painting beautifully, but that one little limewash wall became OUR project. 😂 We worked it, reworked it, layered it, stared at it, questioned our decisions, and kept going until it finally looked like what I had in my head.

And we got it DONE. 🙌🏽

No, my gloves aren’t dirty. 👀

White gloves can sometimes turn yellow when the glove material reacts with natural oils, sweat, salts, and acids found on the skin.

Every person’s skin chemistry is different, which is why I may notice more discoloration while working with some clients than others. Heat, friction, and the products used during a service can contribute too.

But here’s the important part: yellow gloves are not a pH test, and the color change does not automatically mean anything is wrong with the client or the gloves.

It is simply one of those little pieces of science nail professionals may notice while working.
