Feather & Leaf is growing.

What began as a space centered around acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine is continuing to evolve into something broader, a place where care, education, prevention, and whole-person wellness can come together.

As I continue to deepen my work in women’s health, autoimmune conditions, chronic illness, TCM, and functional medicine, I also want Feather & Leaf to become a resource beyond the treatment room.

Where Feather & Leaf Is Growing

• Personalized care
• Wellness programs
• Education + online courses
• Community workshops + speaking
• TCM + functional medicine
• Herbal remedies + apothecary offerings

My goal is to create a space where people can not only receive care, but also understand their bodies more deeply, learn how to support their health, and feel more empowered in the process.

This next chapter is about bringing together the things I value most: thoughtful care, meaningful education, prevention, connection, and tools people can actually use in everyday life.

A space designed to help people learn, heal, and care for themselves more intentionally.

And I’m very excited for what’s coming next!

Have you ever been told, “Your labs look normal,” but you still don’t feel like yourself?

That can be incredibly frustrating.

Lab work is valuable, but it’s only one piece of the picture. Symptoms, trends over time, sleep, digestion, stress, cycle changes, energy, nutrition, and overall health history can all add important context.

Sometimes the next step isn’t automatically more testing.

Sometimes it’s asking better questions:

What has changed?
What patterns are showing up?
What needs support?
What should be monitored more closely?

This is where an integrative approach can be helpful.

Functional medicine can help us look at data and trends.
Traditional Chinese Medicine can help us look at patterns in the whole person.

The goal isn’t to chase numbers.

It’s to understand you more clearly.

• Better context.
• More individualized care.
• A more thoughtful plan forward.

Functional testing can give us data.

Traditional Chinese Medicine helps us look at patterns.

Nutrition, herbs, acupuncture, sleep, movement, and lifestyle help us support the person behind the numbers.

The goal isn’t to “treat the lab.”

It’s to understand the bigger picture and use that information to create more individualized care.

Data matters.
Patterns matters.
Your story matters too.

That’s the environment within.

Functional medicine isn’t about ordering every lab or finding one magical “root cause.”

It’s about looking at the bigger picture.

Your symptoms, history, lifestyle, nutrition, stress, sleep, and appropriate testing can all help us better understand what may be contributing to the way you feel.

And for people living with autoimmune or chronic conditions, that bigger picture can be especially important.

• Better information.
• More individualized care.
• A clearer plan forward.

There are so many things people don’t always see when someone is living with an autoimmune condition.

It may be the fatigue that doesn’t go away with rest.
The brain fog.
The body aches.
The need to cancel plans.
The frustration of looking “fine” while not feeling fine at all.

And sometimes, the hardest part is having to explain something that isn’t always visible.

Autoimmune conditions can look different from person to person, and even from day to day.

A little more patience, understanding, and compassion can go a long way.

For those living with autoimmune conditions: your experience deserves to be heard, understood, and supported…and we are here to help you do that and heal!

One thing I’ve learned after years of caring for patients and learning to care for myself, is this:

Don’t wait until your body forces you to slow down before you start taking care of it.

You don’t have to feel your worst to ask for support.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
And you don’t need the “perfect” time to begin.

If you’re ready to feel better, rebuild your health, and stop feeling like your body is working against you, let this be your sign to get started.

Come on in.

We’ll meet you where you are, create a plan that fits your needs, and take it one step at a time.

We’ve got you. 😊🙃

Appointments available through the link in bio. 📍

Perimenopause and menopause are often described as hormonal transitions and they are.

But hormones don’t function on their own.

They’re constantly interacting with your immune system, nervous system, metabolism, sleep, nutrition, and inflammatory processes.

This means that while menopause itself is a natural stage of life, the internal environment your body is adapting within can influence how you experience that transition.

One of the things I appreciate most about Traditional Chinese Medicine is that it encourages us to look beyond a single symptom and ask a different question:

“What does your body need to feel supported?”

That support may include nourishing foods, regular movement, quality sleep, stress management, acupuncture, and personalized care based on your unique health story.

We may not control every change that comes with menopause, but we can help cultivate an internal environment that supports resilience, healing, and long-term wellness.

Your body was never meant to stay the same forever.

Just as your needs changed during puberty, pregnancy (for some), and your reproductive years, they continue to evolve through perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause.

Rather than viewing these changes as something to “fight,” what if we saw them as an invitation to care for ourselves differently?

During these seasons, the focus often shifts toward building strength, protecting bone health, supporting cardiovascular and metabolic health, prioritizing restorative sleep, and nourishing the body in ways that promote long-term well-being.

TCM doesn’t assume every woman in menopause needs the same approach. It recognizes that every woman experiences this transition differently and that care should be individualized to support the whole person, not just a diagnosis or a single symptom.

Your body isn’t asking you to become who you were 20 years ago.

It’s asking you to care for who you are today. 🌸

For many women, the words perimenopause and menopause can feel intimidating.

But what if we looked at them a little differently?

Instead of seeing them as something to fear, what if we recognized them as natural transitions that deserve preparation, support, and compassion?

Just as our bodies changed during puberty and our reproductive years, they continue to evolve throughout midlife. Understanding those changes allows us to care for ourselves with intention rather than frustration.

Whether you’re entering perimenopause, have already reached menopause, or simply want to prepare for the future, remember this:

Your body isn’t giving up on you.

It’s adapting.

Supporting yourself through this season doesn’t have to mean chasing perfection. It can look like nourishing your body, building strength, prioritizing sleep, managing stress, staying connected with your healthcare team, and extending yourself the same kindness you’d offer someone you love.

Every woman will experience this journey differently, and that’s okay.
