Serving sets for LIFE! All my serving set boards are made out of fallen trees from Long Beach, CA. Logs picked up after windy nights or trees the city has to cut down for one reason or another.
I try to keep natural shapes and follow the beauty of wood itself to keep each board interesting and special.

Did someone say sushi party?
I actually don’t like Sushi 🙉 but wife does. I’m the cook of the house and when I make sushi I like to go all out.
Food in general is very important to me. I believe that when we eat we should focus on our food - not be distracted with tv phones etc.
I also think food presentation makes everything more delicious and exciting. Agree?

I realized I haven't introduced my journey to LB Wood Designs. Here is a lil summary:
I started my woodworking journey when I reached out to my great late friend, Mas Hayashi (who learned from the one and only Sam Maloof) to help me make a table for my aquarium. From then on my passion for woodworking grew instantly. As I watched more videos and learned from Mas, and my fellow woodworkers, I truly came to understand the joy of working with wood and the beauty of wood on its own nevertheless with a touch of craftsmanship.
The majority of the wood I work with come from local fallen trees. Keeping its beauty and unique character in each piece. I like to think that with each piece I make I pass along good energy to my customers and I help make their home experience even better.

I came across a few branches that fell after a windy night. As soon as I saw that one of the branches had beautiful burl I instantly knew this was gonna be a very unique piece! I used epoxy in weak areas to keep it and strengthen it.
It is not very common to find pieces with such character, so lucky us - here it is - enjoy it - if you buy it 😂 . Website in bio.
