My Non Negotiable Wellness Habits I Live By. Part 1
For those of you that know me, you know that I’m very diligent about my self care. It’s what sustains and nourishes me so that I can do the work that I do. They range from daily, to weekly to monthly routines I cannot live without. Here they are:
🙌🏽Body Work: I try to receive acupuncture & a massage twice a month.
🙌🏽Yoga: I’ve been teaching and practicing for 20+ years. It’s part of my weekly practice.
🙌🏽Nourishing Whole Foods: I cook & eat mostly at home, when I do I feel my best.
🙌🏽Dancing: Is life. It brings me utmost joy. Besides nature it’s when I feel most like myself.
🙌🏽Walking: I try to get a walk at least 4x a week. A great weight bearing exercise I integrate into my weekly routine.
🙌🏽Being in Nature: It’s where I feel most at home. It’s my sanctuary.
🙌🏽Traveling: I travel at least once a month to be with friends, to be in nature, and to connect with the world. It keeps me inspired, my mind expansive, and my heart open.
🙌🏽More Dancing: Besides being in nature, it’s when I feel most connected and centered.

How to optimize digestive health like a TCM baddie🙌🏽
Literally, you are what you eat. According to TCM and Ayurveda, all disease start in the gut.
Our metabolic capacity and digestive strength is essential in order to properly breakdown and assimilate food into a usable substance. According to Ayurveda, when this process is disturbed, undigested material from poor digestion produces Ama, buildup that can lead to inflammation fatigue and other diseases.
Your body may be telling you that your digestion is off.
The spleen can easily weaken from eating too much cold raw foods, leftovers, from overworking, overthinking, chronic stress, this can all weaken digestion.
🕊️Signs of poor digestion:
Belching, gas, loose stool, fatigue, constipation, acid reflux, all signs your digestive capacities are impaired.
Our gut is our 2nd brain.
A large portion of serotonin is produced in the gut, which is why what we eat can directly affect mood, energy, and mental health. Healthy digestion helps support nervous system regulation and emotional balance.
In TCM, emotions are closely connected to the organ systems, and both our diet and thought patterns influence our overall health. For example, spleen deficiency is often associated with excessive worry or overthinking.
🕊️Simple tips to Strengthen Digestion:
✔️Focus on warm cooked foods.
✔️Avoid cold excessive fluids with meals.
✔️Eat in a calm environment without distractions.
✔️Chew your food properly and thoroughly.
✔️Focus on whole foods, less processed the better.
✔️Add warming spices/herbs to stoke digestive fire.
✔️Only small amounts of liquid with food.
✔️Follow a food combining diet and simplify meals.
eat until you are 75% full.
✔️Reduce or cut out inflammatory inducing foods such as dairy, sugar, gluten, alcohol, sugar, and caffeine.
Small steps create lasting change.
Whats one simple step you can take today to support digestive health?

Breast Health from a Chinese Medicine Perspective🍃

Hey Folks!
I wanted to say hello and share a lil bit about me…
🕊️In 2013 I started a wellness center in Long Beach, Ca: with 2 women whom are still dear friends.
🕊️I’m a licensed acupuncturist, tea enthusiast, and passionate advocate for movement and dance as pathways to healing. My background is deeply rooted in the Yogic lineages and mind-body-based practices, including Yoga, mindfulness, meditation, craniosacral therapy, East Asian ancestral medicine, and somatic therapies.
I bring a grounded, integrative approach to my work, weaving together traditional healing systems and embodied practices to support holistic well-being.
🕊️Lately I’m excited about collabs & hosting retreats with folks I’m inspired by.
🕊️I’m regimental about my skin care—wasn’t in the past and now I’m making up for it!
What else is there?
🕊️Tea & Tango! A fun new project integrating somatics, tango & tea!
🕊️Getting back to nature more. It’s where I feel most at home.
🙏🏼Im passionate about supporting folks on their wellness journey. Excited to share more with you soon!!
