Yes, prices have gone up just like EVERYTHING else. What people DONT understand is we as independent contractors are responsible for all side expenses.

What we DONT get from an employer that most people working 9-5’s forget about:

- Health insurance/ Dental
- Paid vaca
- Maternity leave
- 401k or retirement
- Sick leave

Just to name a few

I also can say her “Newport girl” is probably way cheaper because she DOESNT have 20 years of experience like I do. That’s not said to be rude it’s facts. The fact she CANT tell her stylist who did the work that it wasn’t what she wanted is also a 🚩🚩

It’s 100% up to the stylist to make sure you’re happy and comfortable and if the client cant tell you that trust was broken somehow.

Please understand this isnt a “hobby” or for “fun” it is my livelihood like many others. Im fortunate to LOVE what I do and make a living out of it but telling people their worth or haggling their price is never OK nor tolerated.
