1 pie crust
4 cups cherries (fresh or canned)

2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp butter
Instructions:

French Onion Soup Recipe
Classic American Bistro Style
Ingredients:
For the Soup:
β’ 4 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
β’ 3 tbsp unsalted butter
β’ 1 tbsp olive oil
β’ 1 tsp sugar
β’ 1 tsp salt
β’ 1/2 cup dry white wine
β’ 6 cups beef broth
β’ 2 sprigs fresh thyme
β’ 1 bay leaf
β’ Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Topping:
β’ 4 slices French baguette, 1 inch thick
β’ 2 cups shredded Gruyere cheese
β’ 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Instructions:
1. Caramelize Onions
In a large pot, melt butter + oil on medium heat. Add onions, sugar, and salt. Cook for 40-45 minutes, stirring often until deep golden brown.
2. Deglaze
Add white wine and scrape the bottom of the pot. Cook for 2 minutes.
3. Simmer
Add beef broth, thyme, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes. Remove thyme and bay leaf.
4. Broil
Pour soup into oven-safe bowls. Top with baguette slice and lots of Gruyere + Swiss cheese.
5. Finish
Broil for 2-3 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Serve hot.
