This has been a mentally and emotionally taxing week for us all. What a world we’re living in!

In light of the recent tragedy in Texas, this month’s segment of She’s A Boss Friday Night Live will be a bit different. Though this is a sensitive and difficult topic, tonight my special guest, , and I will be discussing the recent tragedy and the current climate of today’s youth.

I’m urging all parents, guardians, teachers and school administrators to join the conversation‼️

Self-care, therapy and counseling hasn’t always been common topics of conversation in the black community - neither is it often encouraged and past down from parents to children. Because of this, many of us are now adults living with big bothered energy from past traumas and life changing experiences. Big Bothered Energy is the idea that underneath the mask/facade of strength and confidence (after trauma) is pain, hurt and “bothered energy” looking for an outlet.

Although we have come a long way and I foresee us only getting better, but in order to do that we must be honest, transparent and open to the concept of being free.

It’s time to be intentional about our healing, growth and mental health. This is why The Lighthouse Perspective and I thought it was imperative to bring the Big Bothered Energy - How to Live Drama Free workshop to you live. This workshop will provide a safe space, facilitated by a therapist and coach, that will allow you the opportunity to discuss, work through and ultimately receive tools that will help you heal from past experiences that has caused Big Bothered Energy. Through the use of structured experiences, group discussions and interactions, this engaging and interactive workshop is designed to teach you about the cognitive triangle - learning the connection between thoughts, emotions and behaviors - to reduce the potential for drama and possible trauma.

1) Brunch date with a few of my biz babes
2) Visiting a new LA local with my mini me (restaurant, museum, etc.)
3) Solo self-care day/weekend
