Texas just got a C on the maternal mental health report card. Theyโve moved from an F, and that matters. BUT no state in the country has an A yet, and that should bother all of us. ๐
Mental health screening is up, which is progress. But identifying the problem and solving it are two different things. We need real access to outpatient care, better policy support, and a serious push to destigmatize mental health treatment for moms.
This is why Mavida Health | Women's Mental Health is in Texas. Moms deserve more than a just passing grade of care. Grateful to KVUE for having me! ๐
Listen closely to what she says because this could not be more true! Preach it Michelle Obama ๐
Can we talk about Maluma for a second because I cannot stop thinking about this interview!! He was asked about having q***r fans sliding in his DMโs and he said keep the DMs coming, I love you all. ๐ฅน
Then the radio host came at him with a Biblical argument against the LGBTQ community and Maluma did not back down. He engaged, he pushed back and held his ground. ๐
That kind of security is so rare especially in Latin culture where the pressure to perform a certain kind of masculinity is immense. This is the role model energy we have been waiting for. Maluma, papi. I see you and we are all grateful. โจ๐คญ
I know Iโm not alone on this one ๐

Did you hear the news? The UK just banned social media for anyone under 16 ๐
This little diva in the video is devastated and I feel for her. Being young and online is all she knows. But even though this decision is controversial, the research on what social media is actually doing to young brains is really hard to ignore. ๐ง
In a 2025 study on social media detoxes, when given the choice to step away from social media, 79% of the young adults voluntarily took it. Of those, nearly 90% reduced their screen time by an average of 9 hours per person. And when researchers measured their mental health afterward? Depression scores dropped. Anxiety scores dropped. Insomnia scores dropped. SIGNIFICANTLY across the board. ๐
The young people who were already struggling the most with depression saw the most dramatic improvements. And even participants who had no baseline depression still came back with meaningfully lower anxiety and insomnia scores. There was literally no group that didnโt benefit.
Imagine what a full break could do for a still-developing brain! The UK made an unpopular but evidence-based decision to protect kids who cannot yet fully protect themselves. Iโm so sorry to this little diva. Truly. But this was the right call. ๐
This is the kind of unity and togetherness we NEED right now. I saw someone say we should all have sleepovers more often and I genuinely could not agree more! These videos were too good not to share ๐ค๐คช
