Your face oil might have incredible ingredients, but the wrong packaging can compromise them before they ever reach your skin.
Face oils are filled with delicate fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants that can degrade with exposure to light, heat and air.
☀️ Clear glass allows light to reach the formula, contributing to photo-oxidation.
💨 Dropper bottles expose the oil to fresh air every time you open them, increasing the opportunity for oxidation.
🧴 Plastic may interact with oils over time, which is why we prefer inert glass for long-term storage.
This is why I chose opaque glass and an or***ce reducer for Holy Grail Face Oil. The opaque bottle protects the formula from light, while the small opening limits unnecessary exposure to air and dispenses just a few drops at a time.
♻️ A note about our refill kits: Our glass refills are intended for short-term storage only. Once opened, we recommend transferring the oil into your original opaque Holy Grail Face Oil bottle, which is designed to better protect the formula throughout daily use.
