There was dancing, laughter, great conversations, and I felt my absolute best.
People often ask me how I stay healthy at 74. My answer isn’t just lifting weights or eating well. It’s also about finding joy.
When I dance, my heart gets stronger, my balance improves, my mind clears, and my spirit comes alive. And when I’m surrounded by positive people, stress doesn’t stand a chance.
That’s a whole lot better than sitting at home feeling isolated.
So turn on the music. Dance in your kitchen. Dance in your living room. Dance with friends. Dance by yourself. I dance with people, I dance to the music, and yes… I even dance in the mirror! 🎶💖
The goal isn’t to dance perfectly. It’s to celebrate the gift of being alive.
Nights like this aren’t time away from my health… they’re part of my health.

Did you wake up with a reason today, or did you just wake up? ☀️
I ask because I've seen what happens when the reason disappears. It isn't illness that dims a person first. It's waking up with nowhere to aim.
At 70 I learned to swim, and I still smile every time I think about it, because it reminded me how good it feels to have something to strive for. I'm always evolving, reinventing myself and getting involved in things that help me grow and learn.
Your reason doesn't have to be big. A garden. A neighbor who counts on you. A skill only you can pass down.
Find one small thing that makes tomorrow matter, and run with it. 🔥
😂 Well… I was just minding my own business, dancing to Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” and living my best life…
Then out of nowhere… THREE guys decided to crash my dance party! 🤣🎥
Let’s just say I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants! 😂
But here’s the thing…
I dance because it makes me feel alive. It lifts my mood, gets my heart pumping, and reminds me that exercise doesn’t have to feel like work.
At 74, I don’t move because I’m trying to stay young. I move because I’m enjoying the life I have.
Dance in your kitchen. Dance in the grocery store aisle (if the music is good 😉). Dance like nobody’s watching… and if they are, maybe they’ll join you!
Joy is healthy.
Movement is medicine.
Laughter is free.
