October makeup // this is what I have in my makeup bag this month. I don’t wear all of it at the same time but when I’m traveling I like to have color + shade options available

The base is what I spend the most time on because I enjoy a natural glowy look— I am bigggg on skincare and so of course I want my skin to look as healthy as it can.

Picking the correct sunscreen for you skin type and skincare routine is really important. We probably all know the feeling of putting on sunscreen and then 20 minutes later, realizing your eyes feel like they have salsa dripping in them. And then the tears start— from there everything goes out the window.

OR that feeling of touching your face and the makeup pulls up into little balls that feel like your skin is shedding but it’s really just the chemical reaction of your makeup not getting along with the sunscreen.

Tried and true skin prep includes a glowy mineral sunscreen - I’ve been using the INNBEAUTY PROJECT Mineral Glow for many years because it comes in different shades and is the opposite of heavy. It does not sting my sensitive eyes and it layers really well with my makeup.

A newer gem I discovered is the AORA MÉXICO Incia 12HR Illuminating Primer! Remember how healthy and glowing Bad Bunny skin was at the Super Bowl? This is what he used to be camera ready. I apply this after sunscreen and it’s a great base for make up and a little bit of foundation to go on top.

I don’t gravitate towards one single type of makeup. It just has to be quality!

I included some shades swatches because that’s what I always look for when shopping for makeup. Sometimes you can see the picture of a product but once you see what it looks like on real skin that’s when you can truly tell if it’s something worth purchasing.

This was literally just Tuesday - remember I told you I was going to hibernate after NYC? Well that’s actually next … maybe?
