This is a post of gratitude.

Today I'd like to thank everyone who stands up for what's right. We often think of the fight to save wild horses as a 'David vs Goliath' fight.

But when we all come together, WE are Goliath.

We greatly outnumber the interest groups that want wild horses to be removed. These groups profit handsomely from usage of public lands. Federally protected wild horses, by extension, also protect the land they're standing on- and once removed, that public land is laid bare for private industry, massive profit and greed.

Thank you to everyone who makes a phone call, writes a letter, or schedules a meeting with their elected official to elicit positive change for the future of wild horses. Thank you to the organizations that take the fight right to Capitol Hill, where it will be won- thanks to people like YOU.

by trust, patience, and love.

To others he was just a horse,
but to her he was courage,
freedom beneath open skies,
and the keeper of every secret she never spoke.

And even years later,
when life carries her far from those fields,
one sound will always take her back—
the echo of hoofbeats
and the heart of the horse who knew her best. ❤️
