The Compton Wellness Collective, a social impact initiative of VCH Prosperity Consulting, is dedicated to providing mental health and wellness services, focusing on addressing disparities in care for Black and Brown individuals in disenfranchised communities. Our work is tailored to meet the unique cultural needs of the community and involves collaborating with local organizations in need of mental health and socio-emotional support for their participants.

Fiscally sponsored by Our Culture Hub Foundation, we are a visionary collaboration of Black and Brown mental health and wellness practitioners committed to nurturing the well-being of others. Our mission is to heal the hood, embrace the power of collective care, and transform lives.

We seek donations to continue supporting our mental health and wellness workshops, community wellness programming, support groups, and ongoing efforts to improve the mental health and wellness of our community.

You all know how long I have been manifesting this. I deeply desire to introduce to girls the beauty of mindfulness + wellness using Waistbeads as a tool + compass. My dear sister introduced me to of Yetunde Price Resource Center] and it was instant magic. Im overwhelmed with love + joy while anticipating what this weekend’s session will bring. If you want to wake up your inner child, spend the day with the youth. My cup is overflowing. I love their energy, fearlessness, optimism and tenderness. The feminine divine is alive, well & thriving in our young ladies. I’m so grateful for this experience. Thank you .love for allowing me to hold space for your daughter & her friends. Overflowing gratitude my brother. 🙏🏽✨

I am an extrovert of sorts. I am social and pretty outgoing. Some might even say I’m not the shyest woman in the room lol! While these things may be true, it is also true that I have a paralyzing fear of public speaking! It’s one thing to be the “life of the party”. It’s a whole other thing to stand in front of a crowd & have them hanging on your every word. It’s terrifying yet here I am! I have no clue what I said but I am very proud of myself for accepting the impromptu challenge. ‘Do It Afraid’ has been my mantra for many years and this is me doing it afraid. I’m very proud of this moment. I hope my act of bravery inspires someone else to step through one of their fears. 💜

Today The hosted a Day of Wellness for several beautiful black women. We walked away with so many gems and new tools for our self care tool kits! It was an honor to hold space for the team members, facilitators, attendees & vendors. It was an even larger honor to create an original scrub full of your intentions & beautiful energy. I hope you all love them as much as I loved making them for you. 💜

This weekend I had the honor and privilege of holding space for 5 beautiful black young ladies. I’m blown away by their ability to hold onto their innocence while trying to navigate through a world that is determined to break their spirits. I told them all about our scrub & how healing it is. They now have a tool to help them along the way. They added worthiness, love, personality, goodness, faith & resilience to the collective. I’m holding onto their words & I will continue to hold space for all of them. Thank you and Dr. Pearson for this opportunity. This is how I would like to continue to be in service. I am looking forward to continuing this journey with you. To my Fab 5….you are loved. You are heard. You are valued. I can’t wait to hear how you paid it forward. 💜
