Healthy Awakening Epigenetic Coaching
I align men and women with their unique biology using epigenetics and eliminating the guesswork. I am also a Certified Stress Management Coach.
I am a Level 2 Certified Apeiron Epigenetics Coach, Certified Holistic Health Coach, graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have a passion for working with first responders and love to work with people who have autoimmune conditions, adrenal fatigue, food allergies/sensitivies. I also work with people who have very high stress levels, and little to no energy with which to deal with it. The frustration of not knowing where or how to being to heal can be overwhelming. I understand this well, as I have experienced it myself while on my journey to heal my own conditions. I became a coach to alleviate some of these frustrations, and create with them a focused path to reaching their own wellness goals. We work as a team to discover what foods work for YOUR body, as we are all different. We also delve deeply into your life and lifestyle. You will implement healthy habits which will last a lifetime, and feel empowered to live the life you were meant to live. My goals for you are to be happy, healthy, and fulfilled...and to have fun in the process of getting there! My clients, if they choose, are part of a private client support group on Facebook which I have created. I believe peer support/encouragement is a wonderful addition to the program for individual clients. Just knowing you're not alone can make a difference in a positive way. Your body can leave the stressful situation while your brain keeps living in it.
That missing connection can change the way we think about chronic stress, pain, anxiety, immune health, and what it actually means to heal.
Dr. Jackie Kilraine is BACK for Part 2 of our conversation on Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable., and this time we’re connecting the brain to the rest of the body.
We get into chronic stress and trauma, the immune response, autoimmune conditions, the gut-brain connection, thyroid health, chronic pain, PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and the brainwave patterns Jackie sees when the brain stays stuck in survival mode.
We also talk about neurofeedback, brain mapping, and what it can look like to help the brain develop new patterns instead of continuing to operate from old ones.
Because sometimes you can change your diet, prioritize sleep, exercise at the right time, take the supplements, and work on your lifestyle…and still feel like your body won’t settle.
There may be another piece worth exploring.
🎙️ Episode 141: Immune Response and the Brain: Part 2 with Dr. Jackie Kilraine is available NOW.
If Part 1 changed the way you thought about your brain, you’re going to want to hear where we take the conversation next.

Your brain can hold onto survival patterns long after the threat is gone.
And that can become a much bigger conversation than stress alone.
Tomorrow, Jackie Kilraine is back for Part 2 of our conversation on Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable., and we’re connecting the dots between the brain, nervous system, immune response, chronic stress, trauma, pain, and what can happen throughout the body when we stay stuck in fight-or-flight.
We also get into the gut-brain connection, thyroid health, autoimmune conditions, PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and how Jackie uses neurofeedback to work with dysregulated brainwave patterns.
Because we can focus on nutrition, movement, sleep, supplements, and all the other pieces of our health, but the state of the brain and nervous system deserves a place in that conversation too.
This episode will have you thinking about stress and the brain-body connection in an entirely new way.
🎙️ Episode 141: Immune Response and the Brain: Part 2 with Dr. Jackie Kilraine drops tomorrow.

So many people blame themselves for feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or unable to slow down.
But what if your brain is doing exactly what it was designed to do?
The problem isn’t that your brain is broken. It’s that it has learned to prioritize survival over everything else. And when it stays in that state long enough, it can begin affecting every aspect of your health.
In this episode of Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable., Dr. Jackie Kilraine and I explore how chronic stress reshapes the brain, why so many people get stuck in survival mode, and what it takes to help the brain find its way back to a place of calm.
Healing doesn’t begin by fighting your brain. It begins by understanding it.

What if your brain has been protecting you... but it’s also been keeping you stuck?
So many of us are trying to solve anxiety, chronic stress, poor sleep, brain fog, and even chronic pain by treating the symptoms. But what if the real answer is understanding how your brain has adapted to years of stress?
In this week’s episode of Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable., I’m joined by neurofeedback expert Jackie Kilraine for a conversation that completely shifts the way we think about healing.
We dive into brainwaves, survival mode, neurofeedback, and why calming the brain may be one of the most powerful things you can do for your overall health.
This is Part 1 of a two-part series, and it’s one of those conversations that will have you looking at your health through an entirely new lens. Don’t miss it.

You may not need another protocol. You may need a brain that’s no longer stuck in survival mode.
So many people are doing everything they can to feel better, eating well, taking supplements, exercising, and trying every new wellness trend, they still feel anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, or like something just isn’t clicking.
What if the missing piece has been your brain all along?
Tomorrow on Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable., I’m joined by Jackie Kilraine for Part 1 of an eye-opening conversation about neurofeedback, brain health, and why helping the brain move out of survival mode could change the way you think about healing.
This isn’t about masking symptoms. It’s about helping the brain function the way it was designed to.
Trust me, you’ll want to hear this one.

We’ve been taught to see a low number and immediately think we need more.
More iron. Another supplement. Another solution aimed at fixing the number on the lab report.
But Morley Robbins founder of The Root Cause Protocol wants us to look deeper.
In this week’s episode of Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable., Morley challenges some of the most common conversations around iron, ferritin, and fatigue and explains why he believes the bigger issue may be how the body is regulating and recycling iron in the first place.
We get into the role of copper, cellular energy, mitochondrial health, ferritin, thyroid function, stress, genetic expression, and why looking at one marker in isolation can leave out important pieces of the story.
This conversation may challenge what you’ve been told about iron.
Good.
Because sometimes the most valuable thing we can do for our health is stop asking, “How do I fix this number?” and start asking, “Why is this happening?”

Everything you’ve been told about iron might not be the whole story.
Low ferritin. Anemia. Iron supplements. Iron infusions. Fatigue.
We’ve been taught to look at these things in a pretty straightforward way. But today’s episode of Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable. takes the conversation much deeper.
I’m joined by Morley Robbins, founder of the The Root Cause Protocol, to explore what may be happening beyond the numbers on a standard blood test and why he believes iron regulation and copper deserve far more attention.
We get into iron dysregulation, ferritin, copper, cellular energy, mitochondrial health, thyroid function, vitamin A, histamine, methylation, stress, genetic expression, supplementation, and some commonly accepted health advice that Morley believes deserves another look.
There were moments in this conversation when I stopped and thought, Wait. I have never looked at it that way.
And that’s exactly why conversations like this matter.
You don’t have to blindly accept every health claim you hear. You should understand the WHY behind what’s happening in your body, ask better questions, and be willing to look beyond a single number, symptom, or solution.
If iron, ferritin, fatigue, or unexplained symptoms have ever been part of your health story, this episode will give you plenty to think about.

What if we’re paying attention to the wrong part of the iron conversation?
Tomorrow’s episode is going to challenge some of what you think you know about iron, ferritin, copper, and the way these minerals influence what’s happening inside the body.
I’m joined by Morley Robbins, founder of the The Root Cause Protocol and author of Cure Your Fatigue, for a fascinating conversation that goes far beyond whether your iron is simply “high” or “low.”
We explore how the body regulates and recycles iron, the role copper plays in that process, and how all of this connects to cellular energy, mitochondrial health, stress, thyroid function, genetic expression, and the chronic symptoms so many people are trying to understand.
Morley brings some strong perspectives to this conversation. I bring questions. And we dig into ALL of it.
Because personalized health isn’t about blindly accepting the conventional answer or the alternative one. It’s about understanding what’s happening in your body well enough to ask better questions.
This is one of those episodes that might completely change the way you think about a lab result you’ve looked at a hundred times before.

What if your body isn’t failing you? What if it’s been asking for something different all along?
When Leslie came to me, she was exhausted. She was taking two- to three-hour naps, struggling with brain fog, gaining weight, navigating hormone issues, and trying to piece together her health on her own.
She wasn’t someone who knew nothing about wellness. Quite the opposite. She had spent years learning about natural health and trying to make “healthy” choices.
But healthy isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Once we started looking at Leslie as an individual, her genetics, labs, hormones, metabolism, stress response, nutrition, and lifestyle began telling a much bigger story.
And her body responded.
She’s lost 37 pounds, but more importantly, she has her energy back. She can move through her days without crashing. She made it through an incredibly stressful season without her health spiraling. She feels better in a body that, not long ago, she was struggling to understand.
That’s what this episode is really about.
Not forcing your body to change.
Not chasing another quick fix.
Learning what your body needs so you can finally give it the support it’s been asking for.
🎙️ Listen to Leslie’s full story in Part 2 of our special sister series on Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable.

What if you’re doing all the “healthy” things…and they’re still not healthy for YOUR body?
Leslie knew natural health. She researched her symptoms, tried to make better choices, pursued hormone support, and kept searching for the thing that would finally make her feel like herself again.
But her weight kept climbing. Her energy disappeared. Brain fog took over. Some days, simply running an errand meant coming home and sleeping for hours.
She knew something wasn’t right.
In Part 2 of our special sister series on Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable., Leslie shares what changed when we stopped looking at isolated symptoms and started connecting the dots between her genetics, hormones, metabolism, stress, nutrition, labs, and lifestyle.
Today, she’s 37 pounds down, no longer taking daily two- to three-hour naps, has more energy, and says she feels like she has her life back.
But what I love most about Leslie’s story is that it isn’t about finding another quick fix. It’s about finally understanding the body you’ve been living in all along.
If you’ve ever thought, “I’m doing everything right, so why do I still feel terrible?” this conversation is for you.
