Mountain Herb Salve

From a need to find a more natural way to treat skin issues and distresses for my grandchildren, Mountain Herb Salve was born. The practice of alternative healing is not a new concept to those from the mountains of NC, but a passed down and inherited tradition. When my first grandchild was born, I started taking notice of all the chemicals in the lotions and various products and the reaction of their skin to most of these products became a cause for concern. I wanted a better product, one that I could make and one that the ingredient list used was all natural. For the past several years, I have worked with different local herbs and tried various oils but it wasn't until a year and a half ago that the right formula was created and since that time, I or rather we (the family) have been working to bring this dream to life. This salve has been tried and tested on friends, family, friends of the family and anyone who mentioned some form of skin irritation and I am happy to say that not one of those people gave anything other than positive results and feedback. What started as a solution for keeping the ever changing skin distresses under control for my grandchildren has turned into a passion for sharing the effectiveness of Mountain Herb Salve with as many people as possible.
