As part of our community outreach efforts, family medicine residents Dr. Lindsay DeLong, Dr. Evan Cox, Dr. Zeke Oswald, Dr. Nathan Wachsmuth along with Behavioral Medicine Educator Dr. Marin Olson and Associate Program Director, Dr. Meredith Buck, connected with community members at the Farmers Market. They provided free blood pressure screenings and shared information about safe prescription disposal using medication lock boxes. After an incredible career dedicated to helping others, Dr. Ralph Olson is beginning a well-deserved retirement. From his early studies in psychology to earning his Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology and building a successful career in private practice, Dr. Olson has made a lasting impact on countless individuals and learners along the way.
As our residency programās behavioral medicine educator, he helped residents better understand mental health, develop strong communication skills, support healthy lifestyle changes, and prioritize physician wellness. His patience, humor, and exceptional teaching style made him a favorite among residents and colleagues alike.
Congratulations, Dr. Olson, on your retirement! Thank you for the wisdom, guidance, and compassion you've shared throughout the years. Your presence will be greatly missed, but the lessons you've taught will continue to inspire generations of physicians. Wishing you all the best in this exciting new chapter.
