June Vibes!

07/01/2026

For the next 31 days, we’ll be celebrating Diana Robinett, our very special July Member of the Month! Here’s why:

❤️ What’s your fitness why?
My fitness why is I want to be able to run around and play with my granddaughter without feeling aches and pains! I also just want to feel better in my own skin!

🖤 When did you start coming to ReZist?
I started at Rezist in November of 2025. I joined because I moved, and I needed somewhere closer to workout. I was a member at my previous gym for about 8 years, so I was excited to find ReZist so I can continue my fitness journey!

❤️ How has your body/health/mind changed?
Though my body has not really changed, my mindset definitely has! I am now committed to being at ReZist no less than 5 days a week! Most weeks, I can accomplish that, as long as a little thing called “my job” allows 😂. In my mind, fitness is not an option - It is a must!

🖤 What’s your favorite form of exercise at the studio?
My favorite class is “Pound”, which is actually what caught my attention at ReZist in the first place. It looked interesting to me online, because I thought “How can that really be a form of exercise???” After doing it a few times, I quickly realized how demanding it is! I just love all the different motions in the workout, and I love the cardio that I get without even realizing it! Honestly, I like all the classes that are offered - AMRAP and Pyramid are right up there at the top of my list!

❤️ What keeps you coming back?
What keeps me coming back is the people!!! I have met so many wonderful ladies who all have the same goals in mind as I do! I also love the instructors, especially those who push me when I think I can’t do more! Their pushing proves to me that fitness is a mindset, and that anything is possible! I am forever grateful to be a part of this studio family!

Let’s gooooooo, Ladies! ReZist has YOUR NAME all over it ❤️🖤. Thank you for sharing this powerful information!!!

Follow @neurosciencetalk for science-backed strategies on brain health, hormones, and longevity.

Most women entering perimenopause are told to do more cardio. But the science tells a different story.

In 2026, the American College of Sports Medicine published its most comprehensive resistance training review ever, synthesizing 137 systematic reviews covering more than 30,000 participants.

The conclusion was unambiguous: resistance training significantly improves muscle strength, bone density, balance, and physical function in adults across every life stage, including the menopause transition.

Here is why that matters. Estrogen spent decades protecting your brain, bones, muscles, metabolism, and mood simultaneously. When it drops, every one of those systems is affected at the same time.

A 2025 systematic review published in Frontiers in Psychiatry confirmed that resistance training improves cognitive function in adults over 50 through BDNF upregulation, the same repair protein estrogen used to support.

A 2024 randomized controlled trial published in BMC Women's Health found that a 15-week resistance training program significantly reduced moderate to severe hot flashes, with effects lasting two full years after the intervention ended.

And a first-of-its-kind 2024 study published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise confirmed improvements in strength, balance, and physical function specifically in women across the menopause transition.

No single drug addresses the brain, bones, muscles, mood, and metabolism simultaneously without side effects. Resistance training does.
