I was reading my daily devotional earlier this Summer and read an encouraging story about an old well. The message/lesson: “What goes down in the Well, Comes Up in the Bucket.” TRUTH! I reflected to what I’m doing to fill my own well, and love the visual it provides that whatever “Stuff” I’m allowing in my well, often shows up in my bucket in behavior and thought.

I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to relate this to skin care. What “stuff” are we exposing our skin (the largest organ on our bodies) to that is filling our body and what is coming up that shows itself on our skin? Sun & Weather, Foods (triggering inflammation) and a host of Beauty Products that may or may not contain hormone disrupting/cancer causing ingredients (shampoo/deodorant, lotions etc). And then let’s talk (or not talk!) about the hormonal balance and aging process deep within that affects our skin’s elasticity, plumpness and overall condition (dryness/oily/acne/sensitivities).
