Last month I had the honor of taking Tech Intensive in St.George, Utah from these two beautiful souls. ⁣

To be totally honest, this method hasn’t come easy for me. I’ve worked and tweaked and been frustrated. Worked and tweaked and been frustrated. I’ve been repeating this cycle for years. It’s hard with social media not to compare your journey with others. But I do. ⁣
⁣
These two woman have laid it out in a 8 hour course and made themselves available to who ever is willing to put the work in. I still have plenty of work to do and I plan to take this course again in 2023. I’m just grateful they pour themselves into this method to allow growth from their stylists. ⁣

Every month we have a Platform Artist Mastermind meeting. Last night we went over what is expected of us going into 2023. And let me tell you, it’s not for the faint of heart. Just know when you choose a Platform Artist to do your extensions, we have worked and earned our title. ⁣

In full transparency I have struggled with this method. I’ve taken the classes. Started overthinking and making mistakes. But I keep going. I’ve spent way more (money and time) on this certification then my initial cosmetology license. And I’m not done. I’m headed to St. George in August for Tech Intensive. I need to keep upping my game. ⁣

My goal is to bring you the best of the best. ⁣
⁣
Just know that I am committed to keep learning. And I am honored to be 1 out of 48 Platform Artists in the country. It’s a title will I continue to work for (if I don’t meet the requirements, the title will be taken away). ⁣

What can extensions do for you?⁣

In this case, it helps in a different way. This took a bit of creativity. ⁣
⁣
She was not interested in wearing an enhancement (wig). I offered a full and a partial option. She didn’t want either option. She wanted extensions. ⁣
⁣
I was very upfront about what I could and couldn’t do. I wasn’t even sure she was going to like them. They were going to be placed in an awkward place. This was uncharted territory for me. ⁣
⁣
She left defeated. Told me she had to think. ⁣
A week later she called saying she was willing to give it a try. ⁣
Is this a perfect solution? No. ⁣
Is it offering full coverage? Not even close. ⁣
Is it helping her? Yes!⁣

Let’s talk hair shed…⁣

💜Not everyone sheds the same. ⁣
💜The time of the year matters (we do shed our winter coats).⁣
💜If we are going through something (physically or emotionally) our hair may shed more. ⁣
⁣
Look for bald spots and/or thinning that’s noticeable. ⁣
We stress over hair loss and it’s a part of life. It’s going to happen. And most of the time if it is more than usual, it’s temporary. ⁣

There’s so much hair on the floor and in the shower I’m surprised I have hair on my head!!! We have so much to stress over these days. Let’s not make hair shed one of them. 💜 ⁣

There are a lot of “hidden” bead extensions methods out there now. Why choose ?⁣
⁣
When I look at the other methods and I see these beautiful flip ups, I wonder what is going on inside. Most of them do not show the grow out. Or they just push the beads up for their move up. (In my opinion, this will damage your hair. And the beads are never as tight as the first install.) ⁣
⁣
Cheaper isn’t always better. Especially if there is a reason a stylist charges a lot. How much money and time have they invested in their education…. ⁣
⁣
